Fresh Roasted Coffee, Brazil Unroasted Green Coffee Beans for Home Roasting, Kosher, 5 lb (80 oz)

Just roasted my first batch last week. This bean was recommended for dark roast and the flavor is over the top. Rich, bold and amazing. I am a conosuer but I don't have fancy words for flavors, top notes etc. It's just darn good coffee.

Best price / excellent aroma & flavor. I have an Air Frier / Rotisserie unit & a cylindrical basket to roast the coffee. 450 degrees & 1hr 40min later I have perfect coffee, ( & a house that smells like a coffee plantation ). 10********** KUDOS

I became a home barista a few months ago and purchased my roaster, grinder and everything else needed to start the journey on Amazon. I always buy the unroasted Brazilian beans and I’ve always had great success with the roasting, grinding and brewing process. It’s great tasting coffee and I highly recommend it for home roasting.

I have been roasting for decades and these Brazilians are some of the best beans I have had. I do a light medium and do a pour over. No bitterness and lots of robust flavor.

I’m giving these beans 3 stars for a few reasons.I just recently got into roasting at home and use a stovetop roasting method. I purchased these beans (because Brazilian roasts are my favorite from the stores) and another bean from a separate company. I found that the ceramic toaster I bought was small, caused uneven roasts, but it worked for the most part. With the other beans I bought, I could get a fairly even medium roast in about 6.5-7 minutes. It just depended really. However, when I used these beans, just to get to a medium roast would take me anywhere between 15-25 minutes! And again, these are small batches of beans. I found too that these beans scorched a lot easier and got burn marks that were more noticeable when roasting and in taste when breeding. Plus, the saddest part that was even when I bought a new toaster and got a better roast, the flavor still wasn’t there! I feel Like there is something with the beans themselves not quite right that makes them lower quality than other beans. Even looking at them in the bag, still green, they almost look like someone started roasting them since the chaff is already a light brown. WEIRD.I found that my new HIVE Roaster does work better at getting that more even roast I mentioned before. But the flavor just really wasn’t there compared to other beans that I use. I think that maybe the beans are lower quality than other competitors out there. But I can’t fully say that with their Brazilian beans since these are the only Brazilian beans I’ve ordered thus far. I’ll be ordering more from somewhere else to try and see if this is a quality issue or just bean type.

I buy green coffee for business and was hoping for a long-term supplier, but this batch was a complete disappointment. The beans are very small, many are yellow and broken, and after roasting the taste is harsh and unpleasantly bitter, with almost no coffee aroma instead there is a faint stale smell, like old stock. This does not match the product description or the photos on the listing. I described the problem in detail to the seller, attached photos and asked for a solution, but instead of providing real support they simply referred me to Amazon and stopped responding. As a result I wasted time and ended up with neither good coffee nor proper customer service. I do not recommend this product or this seller to anyone who cares about quality.

I've purchased several times from this brand. This one and the Papau version. They roast very well with less chaff than other beans. I usually like a medium dark to dark roast but not as dark as espresso. The smell and taste is incredible. So much better than any coffee I've purchased at the store. I always look forward to roasting these. So worth taking the time to get great coffee. This Brazil version is good but the Papau is my favorite. Just personal preference on notes and flavor. I will continue to purchase from this seller.
