MUST READ!! Remote distance CHEAP SOLVE!!
Ok so here is what you need to know about the primos turbo dogg.Pros:It is a great call with excellent soundsIt can control a decoy or you can change the decoy button to serve as a hot button (great feature)The sound have called in 4 coyotes and 1 bobcat in only 4 times using it. I typically start with rodent distress then go to baby cottontail distress then pup distress and I have had great successCONS:as im sure you have read if your reading a lot of reviews is the distance of the remote. when sitting on the ground the distance is maybe 30 yards (horrible). So on the bottom of the turbo dogg on the battery lid on mine there is a 1/4" tripod screw. So I started looking at camera tripods but they were just too expensive so I went to the hardware store and made one that's looks like it was stock for it. here's what you'll need- 3/4" three way pvc cap $1.5- 3 12-14" 3/4" pvc pipes $.90c- one 1/4" nut and bolt $1- 1 can black spray paint $.96c- 1 Roll of Camouflage duct tape $3.5Drill a 1/4" little hole in the three way cap, thread the nut and bolt in, then spray paint it blackSpray paint about and inch of the three straight pieces blackWrap the 3 straight pieces in the camo tape long ways (it'll take 2 wraps to cover it completely)PROBLEM SOLVED!!I get about 80-120 yards distance with my remote now and have an awesome looking, portable, durable tripod that easily breaks down and fits in my hunting bag for about $8!!! Ill post a picture soon!

great call
When I recieved the Turbo Dogg, I went to a ballfield and tryed it out at 200 yards away using coyote howls. The remote worked great. Dogs from 1/4 mile away were barking at it. I wont need any other call, this is it. I'm tossing my other calls. Plenty of different sounds, expert hunts ready to go and you can pre-set your own hunts. An awesome call. Super easy to use, I didn't bother to read the directions at first. just followed the prompts on the menu. This call is an extreme value for your money. Can't wait to to play the last lullabye to my first coyote with it!

Worth the money!!!
I purchased this call about two months ago and went on my first crow and predator hunts with it.I did quite well on the crow hunts but not so well with the predators which I blame on my inexperience. Here are a some pros and cons that I have found so far.ProsPrice, I’m not aware of another call of this quality in this price range.Call has impressive volume and sound quality (literally can damage your ears it’s so loud)Lots of different sounds.Very easy to add additional soundsWaterproof design.ConsMy number one con would have to be the remote distance although it advertises 50 yards it’s more like 25yards. It varies greatly depending on what is in between you and the call. This problem can be fixed with a tripod to elevate the call.My second gripe is the remote is a bit clumsy in form and function. The buttons are a bit large and clumsy and have to be depressed quite far to get a reaction from the call which brings me to my second gripe. The remote can sometimes be a bit slow and laggy which in addition to the other problems can cause for some confusion. All in all a great call and would have gotten a 5 star if they were a bit more honest about the remote range.

so it must work pretty well! Gets really loud
I've tried this on coyotes, elk, crows, deer and people. Effective for all. I called in several fellow hunters during elk season, so it must work pretty well! Gets really loud. I was able to set it up and get about 200 feet away, farther if you have line of sight and use the remote to control the call. You can really call them in from far off with the volume, it really projects well. The seller for me was that you can add sounds from online, so it's limitless.

Love This Little Thing!
The line of sight connection issue is very real however, I'm rarely in a location where I can't just hang it a couple feet off the ground so I'm not holding that against it. You guys that do most of your work prone will want to address this issue straight away. That being said, this caller is exceptional for its price! It's loud, easy to use, and the available sound library online is phenomenal! The sound quality of the recordings are brilliant, clear and the sequences start and end naturally!

Very poor range
Do not buy this call!!!! I have had this call for a about 3 years now and have been disappointed with it from day 1, and continue to get more and more disappointed with it. There are 3 main issues with this call:1) The remotes power button only works to turn the call on. You have to remove the batteries from the remote to get it to turn off. My biggest frustration with this is that then the call and remote have to resync every time you turn them on.2) After a few months of use, the display stopped showing what the majority of the sounds are. The display itself still works fine, but the file names for all the pre-loaded individual sounds no longer show up, although it will let me scroll through the blank list still. The only option that will actually show me what sound is being used are the "Expert Hunts". There are only 4 of these and they each have about 4-5 sounds that they cycle through, so if I want to try and use a specific sound I have to go pick a sound out of one of these, so rather than having 100+ sounds to pick from I have about 20.3) This is the biggest issue; The range on the remote is TERRIBLE!!! This reason alone should be enough to keep anybody from purchasing this call. Unless I position myself on a hill significantly above the call, I have to be within 15' of the call for the remote to communicate with it. Obviously, this makes the call ultimately worthless in many situations.Unbeknownst to me, a good friend recently bought this same call, not realizing I already had it. His remote still shows all the sounds, however he has the same issues with the power button and the range.I VERY STRONGLY urge you not to buy this call.

A must have addition to your hunt
This is my second turbo dog. First one was given to me by a friend and he’d used it for many many years (and abused it). Sadly it failed on me this week when I was out trying to get the coyotes that took my sheep and calves. New one arrived today and it works amazing. Highly recommend it. The expert hunt sounds worked a treat and called them in easy.

Outstanding Product
An outstanding unit! Crystal clear sound, complete with remote control. Has adjustable sound horn for direction, and plays clear sound even at high volume. Comes with many preloaded sounds and programs, and more are downloadable from their site. Batteries are easy to install and replace.

Works very good Coyotes love it
The only thing keeping this review from being a 5 is the screen on the remote is very difficult to read when out in a bright day in the snow. Other wise it is great and has a really good volume for the size of the unite. Called in 4 Coyotes the first time out so I would say it works very well.
