Hot Flash Havoc a Menopause Movie

I saw this on OPB and wanted a copy to give to my daughter. We will watch it together when she comes for a visit. I agree with what this movie is about. I had to stop taking my HRT when I was diagnosed with cancer at 67. I think it was the chemo and the fact that I no longer have any estrogen or progesterone, but my skin has shriveled up and I am putting moisturizer on all the time during the day now. I want my hormones back, but my doctor says no. I believe that women need hormones and there are good arguments in this DVD for taking them.

outstanding, concise information from highly educated doctors. I saw myself in the individual women who were interviewed. After a few minutes of viewing this film, I began to cry. I pointed my finger at the screen and sobbingly said, "That's me up there. They're talking about me!" My doctors will no longer prescribe hormone therapy for me and my life has spiraled downward ever since I've not taken estrogen. Mother Nature drops women like a hot potato onto a garbage heap when they reach menopause. This film has inspired me to get up off my hind legs and fight for what my body so desperately needs, estrogen. I will keep looking until I find a doctor who understands I want quality of life for whatever years remain to me.

I learned a lot about menopause from this DVD, but there was not a lot of information on hot flashes. Very worthwhile viewing.

Very good information. Doesn't surprise me that AMA swept this under the rug for big pharma profits. It's sad, how much money do these people need at other lives expense?

I wasn't looking forward to spending 1 1/2 hours watching, but this is so good that time flew. The information covered everything possible and never tells you what to do.....they leave it up to you. Anyone getting hot flashes should see this!

Been there, done that... I'm so glad that the experts are finally explaining the process of menopause in an entertaining, yet accurate, manner. This is "must-see" watching for every woman who is reaching or has reached that "certain age."

My husband and I watched this movie/documentary together since he was on the receiving endof many of my symptoms. Very detailed and well done. Gave us both a better understanding ofmenopause. Two thumbs up!
