Best oil on the market for me..

Don't use additives in your flat tappet engine, they give a false sense of security. Brad Penn 1 is engineered with a higher ZDDP content, plus, unlike V1 racing, it has the necessary detergents and anti-corrosive properties and can be left in the car for more than 3 months or 1000 miles. I've run mine 2000 miles now in a 1976 Corvette 350/350 with almost no discernable discoloration of the Brad Penn 1. I pulled off the valve covers and there is a nice thin film of clear green oil, and no sludge, absolutely clean!!!! Love it. Buying it by the case, it's almost as cheap as a decent standard type oil. I don't know why people pay megabucks for Amsoil or Royal Purple, Brad Penn 1 is a hidden gem. No leaking either, so even though my seals are not the newest, this oil is staying put. I'll only be using this from now on, and will gladly run it in my 425HP solid flat tappet 351C-4V.

Brad Penn oil is great. as a engine builder that races, the oil is the blood of the motor. when you pull the valve covers from a brad penn oil motor, the sticky green oil is coated on everything. visually, i imediately know that the oiling system is working great and the high Zinc is protecting wear. its the only oil i use in my race engines.

So far my 2004 Subaru WRX (which has flat tappet or bucket over valves, for some this makes sense with this oil.) has over 220K for mileage and I have been experimenting with some other oils that have "high zinc" (offers wear protection) but have been synthetic (mostly) while this oil is part synthetic and those other oils have "burned" off at a higher rate. So I Called PENN oil, did some research and talked to Larry's Power in Connecticut and was directed to this jewel! At to date this oil is perfect for my WRX and my driving style (hard) Keep in mind if you have catalytic converters this oil with it's high zinc will effect your cats over time, causing them to basically fail prematurely. Other then that this oil is on the money!

It is my understanding that Brad Penn in reality is the old Kendall GT3. It had been recommended to me by my engine builder and I have been using it since I built the motor for my vehicle. I even used their 'Break-in' oil which contains a high amount of ZDDP additives.
