I can't believe what an amazing difference this wool pad makes when pressing my quilt seams. This simple tool makes them nice and crisp, with little effort, and the handy iron pad is a great extra with this brand. Perfect addition to my quilting supplies.

This mat is great for pressing seams next to your machine. I never knew that the wool worked so well because it retains the heat so well. It presses from both sides and makes very crisp seams. And the silicone iron pad is an extra bonus.

I like everything about this pressing pad. It fits in a s mall area close to the iron ! All I need to do is step over and press the block pieces so they are easy to sew accurately. My sewing area is easier to clegiggle)an up. I Do not have to struggle with the Ironing board! When I first got the pad I wondered if it would shrink! (It does not.....my generation I think. Now I just turn it over .

I think this works great - but when others came to the sewing room it smelled like wet dog. But that's wool for you. Just a caution to open the window and air the room out when you use this. :) (and yes i was working with clean prewashed/dried 100% cotton material)

The first few times I used it, it gave off a bit of an odor. Someone else mentioned that it decreases with time, and it's already doing so for me.If you're using steam with it, the steam does go through the pad. Don't put anything under it that could be damaged by the steam. I just use it on top of my ironing board. When I'm done, I gently lean it again a vertical surface to encourage it to dry evenly.

I am working on a king sized quilt. This is great to put by my side with the mini iron to press my pieces. The wool is especially good for holding the seam. On thicker seams I use the steam and press down with the block.

I don't have any ironing board any more, this works way better than trying to iron on a bath towel. It's thick so the heat won't ruin whatever surface your ironing on and easy to stash. Highly recommend it!

It came with a slash in it. The packaging had been slashed and resealed but no checked it the contents were ok.
