Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Full-Size Carpet Cleaner, 1986 (Renewed)

So, so glad I bought this. It's a little pricey,and I'd had my previous bissel carpet shampooer for over 10 years and it held up well. But it started losing suction right before the holidays so I went for it. This had the upholstery hose which my other one didn't an I wanted to clean a few pieces of furniture too. This also has the sure shot which basically sprays the cleaning solution directionally on the carpet for stains. Seemed a little silly, until I tried it. I have teenage boys, a dog and cats. We live in the country so mud is occasionally an issue.This machine breezed through all the mess and left the carpets almost dry. The tank is really easy to rinse clean,so much easier than my old one,I already use this one more. Spot cleaning is a snap. The only problem I had was that it was sucking too much cat hair out of the carpet and clogged the beater bars. It's how we discovered the vacuum cleaner has a hole in the hose. Sigh. But now the vacuum is fixed, problem solved. It does clean very well, leaves the floor nearly dry. Just go slow. And the upholstery hose works well too, but leaves the surface kinda wet. But I had a hard time keeping it flat to the curved surfaces, and was so horrified at how dirty the water was, I went over it maybe too many times.I've found it easy to use and maneuver, simple to store and get out to use and clean up and put away. Totally recommend it. So much easier than renting one, and then I have it to clean up spills or simple stains before they have a chance to set. Like I said I had a bissel before and thought it did a good job, but it was heavy, and hard to clean after so I wouldn't have bothered with it for a minor job.

This is my 3rd cleaner of this vintage. They work great but are plastic and eventually something breaks and needs replacing so it is sort of a disposable machine though I use mine a lot for both house carpets and automobiles. I get about 2 years out of each unit so it is worth it since the water tank is large enough to cover large areas between changes, the pre-heater is KEY for deep cleaning and it is easy to maneuver.

The way this thing cleans makes me realize just how disgusting my pets are. It brings up brown water and leaves the carpet smelling great.

Update 11-23 although I never got a response from Amazon about product arriving as if it were a return (wet and plastic that covered the main unit was not in its plastic bag). Definitely a returned unit! I was bummed but the machine is amazing! after having 3 other brands this model leaves my carpets cleanest.Amazon I didn’t hear from seller about my used /returned machine and I had to clean the carpet. Albeit a return it worked flawlessly for me. My carpet came out beautifully.But I really don’t like paying full price for a return item!

This product is well worth the money. Cleaned very well and was easy to use. The most important feature to me was the ease of cleaning the machine when I was done. A previous model I had was hard to clean. This one was so easy and fast I really enjoyed cleaning it up and it was fast. Would highly recommend this device.

Even on the first pass you can see a noticeable difference. I did four on mine and my carpet looks brand new! Mind you this carpet is probably like 15 years+ old. Only thing I have bad to say about it is the suction tank only fills half way before having to empty it and thats not even that bad.

This machine is magical. I’m extremely impressed with its capabilities. Toby my dog has a habit of scratching his butt against my carpet so I get some unpleasant traces. I was able to clean my carpet and bring it back to new in about 30 minutes. And I’m talking about 80% of my apartment space. Not only a small area. It is definitely worth its price. Very happy.

This product is great! I was surprised how well it cleans my rugs after the dog has an "accident". Definitely would buy it again, it's money we'll spent.I also like that fairly simple to take it apart and it's easy to clean.
