Rafael Boys Tuxedo with Vest, Shirt, and Bow Tie – Black or White

My son wears a size 7. His measurements are: chest 24”, shoulder 13”, sleeve 15”, inseam 18”, outseam 25”, waist 21.5”, hips 24.5” and he weighs 52 lbs. I ordered a size 7 for him and it fits as expected. The pants are loose in the waist (as expected) because he normally wears a slim fit, however because they’re just a tad loose it is easily remedied with a belt. I have so many good things to say about this tuxedo, but my only negative comment is regarding the lack of a size chart specific to this tuxedo. I know from experience that Amazon’s size chart is little help with clothing made in China, and it’s frustrating to feel like you essentially have to guess when it comes to choosing a size. I was pleasantly surprised to find that at least for the size 7, it was true to size for a U.S. boys size 7. Nonetheless, the seller could really help buyers out by listing the measurements for each size so we can feel more confident when deciding which size to order.Before I go into the details of this tuxedo, I first want to say that it is really, really nice given the price point. You’re never going to please everyone, but I honestly think anyone who complains about the quality of this tuxedo has unrealistic expectations. For the price, this tuxedo is far superior than I ever could have expected. So if you’re not interested in the details and are just looking for the short version of my review - just buy it. This tuxedo is an extremely good value whether you’re looking for a suit for just one occasion or for regular use. This is the third tuxedo I have ordered from Amazon and as soon as I opened the package, I knew I had finally found the one I was looking for and promptly returned the other two. Seriously, I am so happy with this purchase and I can’t believe how nice it is for how little I paid. Now on to the details...—COAT: The coat is fully lined (even the sleeves) so it hangs nicely and looks great. It has satin on the lapels and pocket top, and even though it’s made of polyester, the fabric feels quite nice. The coat even has fabric covered buttons which is a nice, added touch and this suit is the only one of the three I ordered that had this additional detail. It may seem like a small thing, but it really adds to the overall appearance in terms of quality. The slit in the back is tacked closed with thread and this stitch should be removed prior to wear. But it is yet another little touch that shows attention to detail and quality that you wouldn’t ever expect at this price. The pockets are also stitched shut and you may or may not want to remove these stitches depending on your individual needs or preferences. If you wish to add a pocket square or if you want to be able to use the lower pockets you can remove the stitches. For me personally, I plan to leave them in as we do not need them and I think a coat looks nicer with flat pockets.—VEST: The vest front is made with the same satin as the coat lapels, and the back is made of the typical thin, shiny fabric used for vest backs. The vest has the same fabric covered buttons as the coat. The only other thing I would have liked to see on this vest is a slide adjuster on the back, but for the price I can hardly complain about the lack of one.—PANTS: The pants are made of the same fabric as the jacket and the shiny stripe on the side of each leg matches the satin on the coat and vest. They have a flat front with no visible elastic on the waistband. The back of the waistband is elastic however, and as a result it will accommodate a wide range of waist sizes. It loosely fits my son with a 21.5” waist and stretches out to about 26-27”. The fabric is a nice weight for pants. It is heavy enough that the pants hang nicely but not so heavy that they’ll be overly hot. There are two roomy front pockets, and no back pockets.—SHIRT: The shirt is made of a cotton-poly blend that is thin enough that you may need an undershirt if your little man plans to take his coat off. It’s according to personal preference, of course. It’s not paper thin, but just like a typical mens white dress shirt, an undershirt will create a more opaque whiteness. The shirt has nice tuxedo pleats on the front and is plenty long enough to stay tucked in while wearing.—TIE: The bow tie is a pre-made bow (no tying required) stitched on to an adjustable neck strap. It fits my son right in the middle, so it will go much smaller or much larger than we need. In other words, it will fit a artery of neck sizes. It is made of the same soft satin used on the rest of the tuxedo.Overall, you can’t go wrong with this tuxedo. It’s a great value for a great price. I’m very pleased with this purchase. (Ignore that my son is wearing tennis shoes, lol. This was straight out of the package and I hadn’t even steamed it to remove the wrinkles yet when I took the photos. BTW, it steamed up beautifully and I recommend steaming rather than ironing because this type of fabric can get an ugly, shiny sheen to it when ironed at too high of a temperature.)**Note - If my review has been helpful to you, click on the button below and let me know!**

It is super well-made. It doesn't wrinkle, and it doesn't get dirty after the first wearing; I was a little worried about that since it is white. The package was stuffed into my mailbox, so I immediately thought it was going to be super wrinkled after unpacking it. To my amazement, that was not the case. It fit my 8-year old grandson very well. He actually wanted the tuxedo to use for a Halloween outfit; he added a mask to be a character from a video game. Before Halloween, he wore it for his picture retakes at school. He also wore it to school the next day "because everyone at school voted that I should wear it again." He wore it to a Halloween party as well as out trick-or-treating. Before going out the last time with it on, he accidentally spilled a pink-colored drink on it. I used Spray and Wash on it; the pink all came out. I rinsed the Spray and Wash out, threw it into the dryer, and it came out good as new! I definitely got my money out of it! Since he has been little, he would wear his Halloween outfit several times and even for 3-4 months after Halloween - to the stores, everywhere!

I am so happy with the decision to buy this little tuxedo. My 7 year old needed a black suit and white shirt for his First Communion. I was looking at jackets and white shirts because he already had the black dress pants. However, I came across this complete ensemble and it was less expensive than buying a jacket and coat and tie! He thought it was very comfortable (a miracle in itself) and his older brothers praised the look of the vest. The back of the pants has a little elastic, which you can't see with a belt and/or the jacket over them but that would make it more versatile size wise if your child is on the husky side. Mine is not and the pants fit great. So slim or husky, I don't think it matters with these pants. The shirt is pleated in the front in true tuxedo style, and there is satin trim/striping on the legs and lapel and coat pockets. The tie is adjustable. Overall a great buy - so special and handsome for such a reasonable cost. He looked good, felt good, no complaining about dress clothes - what more could a mom want?

For the price, this is exactly what I expected and I am VERY pleased with my purchase. The shirt is a little thin, but he'll have a vest on so doesn't matter. The suit and shirt need some threads trimmed - that takes five minutes. No big deal. The vest and tie were fine. There were a couple of very, very minor color variations in the jacket "satin" from the clips that it was packaged with, but I think those will smooth out after being dry cleaned. You can barely see them. My son is 7 y.o. and wears a size 8 in most clothes. I ordered a size 10 tux. He has about 1-2 inches extra length in the pants and some room to grow in the jacket, but it doesn't look huge. The pants have elastic on the waistband which he loved. This suit will last us at least six months and several wears. Overall, for the price this was a great purchase.

Not what was pictured or described. Came with no shiney saten pieces on jacket, vest or pants. Also didn't come with the bow tie, came with a plain black tie.(Couldn't get picture to upload)Hoping to get an exchange for the correct purchase.

Very nice for the price that I paid for. Got a size 14 for a boy who is 55" weights 88 lbs. He is a 10 year old Chinese boy. Shoulders are a little wider because he is a smaller bone kid. The shirt/vest/pants fit just perfect! Shirt sleeves are pretty wide but I just readjusted the buttons to make them fit tighter. I did see some seam came lose in one underarm lining. No big complain with the price I paid for. Yes, the shirt is a little thin but you can wear a undershirt if it bothers you to see thru. Overall I am happy with the purchase. If you know how to sew then you will appreciate the quality. Highly recommend it to give a FIVE star.

Well made and looks really nice, just fits a little smaller than normal sizing
