Cheap plastic
Looks way better in the picture. I purchased this for my boyfriend as a Christmas present. I was ready to return it but decided to send him a picture. I explained to him that the picture made the item look a lot better and it was cheap plastic. He said to keep it and bring it over for him to look at it. He also agreed there was no way he could use it for his barbarian garb. If you are looking for something cheap for your kids to play with this is a great item. But I definitely don't think it is worth the $14 and some change I paid for it.If the item was cheaper I would be giving it it better review.

Cute but flimsy
My older son has several Nerf swords (which are amazing, btw!!! Completely worth the money!!) and my two-year-old is always trying to steal them ;) So I purchased this Trident for him so he would have his very own toy to "fight" with. Now my older son is stealing the Trident lol The only problem is that there are pieces falling off of it, and it tends to bend in half. But for the price, it was a quick fix to many arguments. I'll probably stick with Nerf in the future, however.

Vanquish your foes gently
This Death Trident is made of very thin plastic. The paint is fairly convincing, but it probably won't hold up in battle against bloodthirsty mermen or frenzied gladiators unless they also only have weapons of flimsy plastic. This product : Nerf :: pig iron : damascus steel. It makes for an intimidating visage, though.

Cool but not very solid
This is a very cool looking toy weapon that my son wanted for Halloween. It is not very sturdy feeling. Amazingly, it has held up until the big day. Hope it lasts through tomorrow so there will be no wailing and gnashing of teeth.

ULTIMATE WOW
I USED THE DEATH TRIDENT IN PLACE OF THE AXE AND THIS WAS A HUGE HIT TO MY VIKING COSTUME. THE DELIVERY WAS SUPER FAST AND AT A REASONABLE PRICE. REALLY GREAT BUY I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS JUST FOR THE ILLUSION OF THE SPIKED BALL ON ONE END, GIVES YOU A TWO FOR ONE. LOVED IT AND MY SON CAN USE IT IN THE FUTURE TO PLAY WITH. SGNOIGE/STL MO

Looks good although too much money for a piece of plastic.
It looks good although it is made out of cheap plastic. I guess it cost $1.23 to make.

after about a week a spike broke off, so I glued it back on, and it broke off again.

Excellent. I cut it in half and added the ends to a broom handle for a full sized staff!
