i3 Mega - How to fix if you bought UART by mistake
I have an old i3 Mega that I'm breathing new life into and decided to do the upgrades on the drivers. I was always hesitant because of conflicting procedures and settings posted but finally took the dive. I bought the TMC2208 v3 UART drivers then realized they were the wrong ones I should have purchased the STEP/DIR ones even though they are not software configurable. Well the issue came with de-soldering the jumpers on each driver to take them out of UART mode or send them back for the right ones. It occurred to me I had read you could just remove pins 3,4 & 5 instead of de-soldering them... being lazy and knowing fully well it would void any warranty I went for it. Set the Vref at .95 on them all. I didn't physically reverse the pins to the stepper motors and instead opted to use the Marlin software upgrade that has the pin reversal in the code. Like having a new printer! The drivers are great and work perfectly. Between them and the Marlin software it has made a huge jump in print quality and got rid of the noise along with the steppers getting hot. Definitely worth the upgrade on an Anycubic i3 Mega just make sure you get the STEP/DIR ones or be prepared to do a lot of additional work on your board and coding.

Pricey but worth it with all the options you get.
Got these to replace my TMC2100s and they work like a champ. No more skipped steps due to over heated motors. These crank out power to my stepper motors and allow me to fine tune just how much power is going to them thru menus on my printers menu. I now run nearly 3 times less power to my motors causing them to run cold, even at speed. This means no more skipped steps due to over heating. This also means my printer runs significantly quieter. These also crank enough power to my extruder motor to run retractions @ 80mms with zero skipped steps while running cold to the touch too.Pros:Runs my stepper motors quieter than any other driver I've owned, and I've owned a lot. DRVs As and older TMCs. These put them to shame.Ability to control vref voltage from menus on my printer is really nice.Sensor less homing is the bomb once you get it tuned.Cons:Had to remove a pin to get sensor less homing working. This was a pain.Price.Other thoughts:These were spendy but if you were like me and keep having motors over heat, these will fix your problem. Worth every penny.

Quite stepper drivers
These stepper drivers work well with my NEMA17 stepper motor. Quiet (enough) operation.

Makes my printer very quite
I put these in my anycubic mega x. I had to install custom marlin firmware but after that they worked amazing. The noise from my printer is significantly quieter. this is great because I live in an apartment and so my printer sits right behind my couch. Much easier to relax and watch tv now.

How to quiet your FLSUN QQ-S Pro.
My stock FLSUN QQ-S Pro was noisy out of the box. I dealt with it, but after seeing other people upgrade their stepper drivers and show videos online WITHOUT NOISE, I knew I had to upgrade mine. The process is not terribly difficult but you NEED to monitor the voltage for each driver that you install. If you're not comfortable doing that, check with local Maker Fare facilities or computer stores that might be able to assist you. My printer can support the newer TMC2209 drivers but this was an inexpensive and quick method to silence the stepper motors.

1 dead on arrival, Otherwise Quiet and seems do do what I need
Got them installed only to figure out that 1 was dead. Contacted support and they are sending replacments. These seem to be some of the best drivers but quality control is lacking. Very disappointing, it’s been about a weeks since installing them and my printer is still tore apart waiting for BIQU to respond.

Works great
After some research i got them up and running just fine.

Very Quiet
Loved the simplicity to replace. You will need a multimeter to adjust the voltage of each driver board. I ran mine in an AnyCubic Chiron and oh my goodness, its so much quieter! Will buy again if needed! Mine came in black which is nice too. I would have liked to have gotten white though.

one came shorted
pretty obvious complaint, one of them is unusable, and one driver is the same cost of a pack of a4988
