This really works well. Had to replace our drain field in back yard and needed to seed it when done. It started in just 6 days and was a bit chilly outside. Now it is thick and a beautiful green. Highly recommend.

My landscaper decided to thatch my entire lawn in October and then rake it and cut it and rake it again. I had about 20 bare patches and not much time. I bought this bag, threw it down heavy, watered lightly and prayed for sun to heat the ground. I live in PA, so I was running out of time. Cut to the chase, it is Dec. 1st today and my lawn is thick and green and looks like a golf course. This seed saved my butt going into fall and winter, and I have a mini-schnauzer and Westie that run around in the back yard chasing Mr. Bunny, Mt. Chippie, and Mr. Squirrle all day long, and Wes chases the birds away from the feeder and block of suite. All great fun, unless they track mud into the house. They DID NOT with this quick growing seed. Great product and a good price for the size of the bag you get. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Germinates quickly and fills in bare areas quickly. Use a starter fertilizer right after applying it and re-seed and fertilize every 2 weeks until the bag is gone. Water it in if there isn't a regular rainfall and your lawn will be thick and green!

germination isn't what I expected, although I took great care to properly loosen soil, broadcast seed evenly, and put 1/8" to not more than 1/4" of soil over seed. I watered the seed 3 times per day to keep seed moist while germinating and growing, yet I experienced maybe 50% germination. The seed does produce grass at between 5-7 days, however, it came in very spotty causing me to have to replant seed in the areas it did not germinate well.
