I use mine for AC Split System installs (heat pumps), best thing since sliced bread ! I've had mine now for seven years, just had it tested &,,, as new. Performs the main functions required, Test @ 500psi, Purge & Braze (flow). This small unit is as tough as nails and pint size. Great price wise for combined Regulator And Flow meter. I cannot fault it.

Very solid tool Been using my other one for years daily. Just needed another for home. Professional tool for professional tradesmen.

You won't find a more convenient regulator/flowmeter to use than this. I bought the VN-500 because of the newer azeotropics that are becoming common, such as R-410A. The VN-500 makes it quick and easy to go from purging, flowing just the right amount of nitrogen to braze with, then quickly pressure testing your work with any pressure up to 500 psi. For HVAC professionals, or anyone else who needs to use nitrogen for brazing or leak testing, this regulator is for you. It requires no tools to attach to the J-valve on any size nitrogen tank; just tighten by hand. It is well worth the money.

I got my gauge on Saturday and actually couldn't wait to get to work today to use this. Well, simply put, this is something I have been waiting for for a long time. I did a line set today and I only needed ONE Gauge! No wrenches no back & forth changing hoses! The thing weighs like a ton! SOLID!!!! I put it through a few tests prior to hooking it up. Actually just an open-ended hose. The braze function was great. The purge function and the test function was outstanding as well. Being able to do all 3 processes without a gauge change, hose change or extra trips proved to be a real TIME and EFFORT saver. Be sure to throttle the test function through your test gauge manifold to control the pressure. I did get the 500 PSIG model after reading the various reviews. Makes sense if you are throttling via your gauge set and safer too as to not introduce a huge slug of pressure all at once. Be sure to drain off any residual pressure prior to disconnecting the gauge from the N2 tank. All in all, I would TOTALLY recommend this product to any PROFESSIONAL HVAC Tec or installer. Hands down it works awesome! I'd give it 37 stars if I could.

Better than normal Nitrogen regulator very useful in brazing with nitrogen for better results

I would never admit it to one of the guys, but: I have had times where I would flow nitro when doing a braze, only to pressure test and find I have a leak still and it needs to be redone. Then get frustrated and do a weld without flowing nitro (shame). To explain. Now if you dont have something like this, you have to dial your regulator down to the <100 psi, then remove your hose, attach your flow rate guy down to then 3-6 psi, then make sure its flowing right, do the weld, remove your hose, remove the flow rate thing, hooked the hose back up, and pressure test again. Or you can click from braze, to test, back to braze. The entire company is looking to switch to this. Bonus, its smaller than your output psi and tank psi regulator.

This is by far the best nitrogen regulator you can get. Great for brazing with nitrogen and makes it breeze to ensure you are doing a proper installation. I recommend taking this off of your tank everyday as it can be damaged in your van. I wish this came with a protective reusable case or something. I used a spent plastic screw case to protect it. Great product though.

I thought was this is the same fittings but I was not. Can I make a refund for this?
