Ozone Layer Deodorant with Lemongrass Essential Oil - The All Natural Oxygen Based Deodorant 2oz

Absolutely everything irritates my underarms, except for this. What I had been using before was the LEAST irritating Toms Calendula. This does have a very strong smell. My son says it smells like either lemon soap or rotten lemon soap. You sort of get used to it. I think one thin layer doesnt smell bad and I put a natural scent on after that (lavender) and it usually does the trick.Even better--I find that if I can now put the Tom's Calendula over the Ozone (a light layer of each) and I have no more burning or scarring now. This stuff protects the skin. A little sticky, but doesn't mess up my clothes.As someone w/ super sensitive skin who doesnt want to buy cancer-causing deodorant, I am VERY pleased. I know it is not the best smell, but that is it's natural smell, and I have been able to work w/ it. Still much better than the peeling rash.

I have bad B.O. When I put on antiperspirants and deodorants the smells warp horribly and heightens the distance from how far away I can be smelled. The good news is that this worked for my B.O, and neither warped my smell, and kept it in check. The bad news is that I still reeked locally. So much so that people told me they'd rather smell my B.O from across the street, then come near me with this stank on. I honestly did not know what to do. Damned if I do, damned if I don't, so the search continues. On the plus side, I got a rash under my arms, and when I used this, what usually would take 2-3 weeks to heal only took a few days to clear, and so this is what I used it for until it was gone.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. This smell is unbearable. You would think that you could roll this on your armpits and forget about it but no. I put this on underneath a light long sleeve shirt and a peacoat and went out and drove. I smelled this on me on the car ride the whole way and also in a restaurant as I sat self conscious wondering if people around me could smell the unpleasantness. This is made up on three ingredients - shea butter, beeswax (which I suspect is the cause (or combination with the shea butter) of the horrid scent) and "oxygen" (how's that for a marketing ploy).Three ingredients...if shea butter is a good deodorizer than you are better off just using pure shea butter alone as the scent is much better than this.I don't know what it is about the combination of these three ingredients but the scent is EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE and I used it once and will now have to throw it out. Yes $11 in the garbage - that's how bad it is. Wanted to like it because it's natural!The company should consider adding something to it...perhaps a lavender oil.

Im giving this item a four star review b because; I really like the concept of the product and that its all natural, and I was very excited to try the product and see how it worked but can't. Unfortunately my product came broken, the twist at the bottom of the bottle is broken off so I am unable to push the deodorant up out of the tube to use it. I don't want to give the product a bad review cause I understand that sometimes things like this happen! But would love to be able to try the product.

this stuff is amazing! it works! I do hot Bikram yoga and used to (smell) in the middle of it using my long-time friend, the crystal. This eliminates sweat odor completely, and continues to work, and work and work. True, you have to like the smell of ozone (think what the outside air smells like after a wild thunder storm = ozone! Brings life to the air we breathe.) The lemongrass is nice. Highly recommend. Pity the local folk where this was created -- at the Farmers Market each week I pause at Ozone Layer's booth as I pass by and tell my story to anyone who is stopped there, adding, "You gotta try it!"

If I had to describe the smell of this deodorant, I would say it is pungent. I didn't really get a lot of lemongrass from it, either. It works well enough, and even when it doesn't the smell is enough to mask my body odor. Even after going to the gym or a long day at work, I barely catch a whiff of my BO over the scent of the deodorant. It didn't apply very easily but I found that if I held it to my armpit for a second and allowed it to warm up, it spread easier. I also did not develop a dark rash like I have for other natural deodorants I've tried. Works well in the mean time.

I've been using this for years. People comment on the smell but if you have sensitive skin and want tobe odor free this is the best I've found. I hope they never stop making it. I've tried Native, and 10 others and all either give a rash or don't work. I use a swipe of Nubian Honey and Blackseed on top for my preferred fragrance.PLEASE DON'T STOP MAKING THIS!

First off, I ordered this and received the package right on time...with no appearance of having ever been sealed, and no deodorant in it! I requested a replacement, which was handled promptly and arrived on time, along with a 10-dollar Amazon gift certificate for the inconvenience. So, that was nice.However, this deodorant smells terrible. I ordered it in lemongrass because I've been using the coconut scent for a while now, and it was too syrupy for me. I got this today, and it smells like a citronella candle! I feel like I just put on bug repellent. That is definitely not what I want to smell like.I also feel sort of damp. I put the Ozone Layer lemongrass scent on one armpit, and Primal Pit Paste orange creamsicle scent on the other, and the armpit with the Ozone Layer deodorant feels sticky and wet, with that sort of "camping trip in the rain" smell, despite the fact that I'm not doing anything, while the armpit with the Pit Paste is dry and has virtually no smell.I'm disappointed that I spent money on this. I don't plan on continuing to use something that smells this bad.
