Company specs and description are accurate
In my location, hammocks are more practical - but in colder areas, it's really hard to stay warm in a hammock - so I was pleased to find a compact, light tent for so little $.I am 77" tall, and I am not sure this is long enough. Laying in it centered or at diagonal, I am brushing with either my head or feet. I may try one of the 6" longer single tents. All I've done are set it up with two branches and the included line and stakes, lay in it to check length, and hose it down to check for leaks (didn't find any). When rolling it up, first try it came out longer than a football and almost as big - so I was concerned. But then I tried again, folded more first, then rolled up, and yep - about like a football. A little bigger but not by much. Impressively compact and light, ESPECIALLY for the price.I'm a little concerned with all the comments about condensation. I guess I'll need to camp in the front yard like a kid (backyard has dog landmines), to try it out.

No see ums fly through the mesh screen
This tent was rumoured to be leaking and my first one was. Customer service for this company is impeccable and they sent me another tent.I mixed silicone and mineral spirits and sealed all the seams myself. now after a good hard rain maybe a teaspoon of water will be in each far corner of the tent. Certainly not a problem for me.My buddy's $300 hiking tent was blown flat in a wind storm in this tent stood tall right next to it.The biggest problem I've had with this tent is it does not have proper screening. The no-see-ums fly right through the screen and fill up my tent. This is my biggest complaint , otherwise a very good tent and I hope the company can make improvements.

leaks
I bought this tent directly from River Countrys website. I set it up today to apply waterproofing and test it. Puddles of water in the the corners and along the edges. I left Ina rainstorm for a couple of hours. The top is dry but water seams to be coming in around the bottom seem. Not very well designed and made for such a basic style of tent that has been around for many years. The back ventilation flap is one of the worst designs I've ever seen. there are no loops to stake out the sides in the middle. it's virtually impossible to get this tent set up taught. The floor is decent but it becomes useless with water leaking in from the sides. I have many years of camping and tenting and I have to say this is the worst tent I've ever seen. very disappointing. I'd be better off with a blue tarp.

Perfect for my needs.
I can't find a single bad thing to say about this tent. I used it alone, had plenty of space, and was comfortable. It was a breeze to set up with my trekking poles, and I switched one out for a big stick so I could use one pole for a hike.Very little condensation accumulated, just near my head. No dripping, seemed well-ventilated even though I chose to leave the vents closed due to cold temps.Didn't even notice its weight, and used Tyvek also bought via Amazon for a footprint. Great, lightweight combo.

Perfect for anything that isn’t Snow/rain
I’m doing the Appalachian Trail in a month, and have been betting on this tent. I took it out a couple of times in the fall and it worked great. No condensation, easy setup, no problems at all. We got a decent snow last night(also with a low of 20 degrees) so I decided to try it out in the snow. I wake up an hour after I’ve gone to bed, to water dripping onto my sleeping bag from the side wall. I move my stuff over and try to get back to sleep. I wake up at 6am to the whole tent being completely frozen(see picture). I also noticed the entrance of the tent is too low, so if a heavy rain comes in, you’re getting drenched. However, I DON’T think it’s a bad tent. I think that it’s just not cut out for more extreme weather conditions. I’m going to be getting a different tent, but I will be holding onto this one if my friends and I decide to go camping during the summer or something.

Outstanding tent for the price
I bought this tent in the winter of 2020. Since then I've used it on two separate 50+ mile backpacking trips in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, a few short hunting trips and it has exceeded my expectations. It's just as light as many tents in the $400+ range and it's has kept me dry. I did seal the seams and give it a DWR treatment before use, so I have no idea how waterproof it is out of the box. Mine does not have a vent on the backside, so it gets hot if it's sitting in the sun and that can be a problem when you're up north where the sun often doesn't set until after 10pm and you may be camping in a place with no shade. However, it's my understanding that the company is constantly updating the tent and there may be a vent on the backside to help with air circulation a bit. My other complaint is there is no vestibule for gear. If you're going solo, there's plenty of room for your gear in the tent, but if you're sharing it with someone, your pack has to stay outside, but that's the tradeoff you have to make when spending so little to get a tent so light. We solved the problem by bringing a large trash bag to put our packs in so they could sit outside and stay dry. All things considered, this is a legitimate lightweight backpacking tent at a fraction of the price you'd pay for any other useable backpacking tent. If you're a serious backpacker about to embark on a thru-hike, I'd recommend dropping $600 on a Z-packs tent. If you're a hobbyist like me who sleeps in a tent no more than 15 nights a year, this tent is all you need.

Huge, strong, light and water-proof
My 12 and 14 year olds used this on a recent bike-packing trip. It's very big, easily fitting two large adults, yet it's very light weight for it's size and price point. We just tried it to trees to hold it up. Anyway, I did buy a spray can of seam sealer and soaked all the seams. This tent helped keep them warm in 40 degree weather. Love it, and will be buying another.

Used tent
I purchased this in the UK and product was sold by Amazon in the US. Delivery time was great and all seemed fine until I opened the tent. Sadly the tent had been used and was obviously a customer return. My tent included pet hair (dog I think) mud, leaf debris inside and what looked like spots of bird poop on the top. This is more of a review on poor customer service rather than the product as I never got a chance to test the tent. Have sent the tent back, Amazon not very interested in my feedback which is a shame and now I need to try and find another lightweight tent in my budget. I hope this was a one off but not a great start for my first international Amazon purchase!

Good hiking pole tent, but needs a covering tarp if using in the rain
I purchased this product for multi day hikes due to it's low price and low weight. I set it up to test in the backyard over a stormy week. It was doing well during the first shower and then the heavy rain came. Admittedly it was serious and sustained rain, but still I had hoped the tent would be waterproof, it wasn't... lol. Rain leached in via the seams and I moved out of the tent after a few hours. It let in about 1-2 cups of water (a lot), mostly pooling in the corners. If you were on a hike this would be problematic... thankfully I had no gear in the tent. To fix this I just purchased a tent tarp and will have to work out how to use that to get a dry nights sleep. That will add to the weight of the tent but is prob worth carrying anyway as a backup for safety. The quality of the tent otherwise is good and the bottom is definitely waterproof. Plenty of room inside for a long mat and sleeping bag, I'm 183cm and 90kg and I can just sit up inside and could fit me twice across the floor, or me and my gear comfortably. When I purchased I didn't realise it was a hiking pole tent, but love that now. It really was so easy to setup with my cheap Decathlon hiking poles!Only other issue I found was there is no ventilation... next time I might go for version 2 which has bottom vents butbis a little more expensive. It can feel a little stuffy inside this version when you can't keep the door cover open due to rain.Overall 4 stars.
