Love it so many great sounds. Easy to use. Good value for money. The only gripe I have is the on/off switch is very small and feels a little small I think a push button would be better.

This is my first hardware synth & I love it. It has a small desktop footprint & connects easily to my DAW. The sounds can be tweaked endlessly, and with effects (which it lacks) it sounds larger than what it should, the sound quality is excellent. Arturia are still producing firmware updates for the Microfreak & has recently allowed samples to be uploaded & tweaked. For the money, ridiculous value. Recommended.

Just to correct the customer who suggested not to buy it unless you have a daw and printer type cable, this unit does have built in sounds. All you need to do is turn it on and either use a pair of earphones or connect it to speakers to get the sound. It’s a hybrid machine not just a midi controller. One down side is that it comes with an EU plug so you’d need a converter at hand. Alternatively you can plug it into a socket using a high quality usbc phone charger and an apple plug but the quality of sound will not be as good as using its dedicated power cable.

I bought one of these just after they came out a few years ago. As I was just starting out in my Synth Music career I didn't really understand what it was all about and sold it on, something I've regretted a few times. When I saw this one the page I couldn't resist ordering (it was on a special deal) and I'm really just now coming to terms with what a great little beast it is. My recommendation can only be tempered with my own experience - as a starter synth be wary, but once bitten and twice shy - embrace the foibles and you'll get some great stuff out of the little box with the funny keys.

I love Arturia products - good quality, lots of vesatility and excellent after sales support. I also have other great synths from a variety of manufacturers, but for sheer, straight out of the box fun you won't beat this. It's easy enough for beginners to get going straight away, but it's also packed with features to keep experinced synth users happy - some so unusual I don't think you'll find them anywhere else, and it sounds fantastic.How Arturia have put this on the market at such a giveaway price is beyond me. The online manual is crystal clear as well - everything is explained in detail, but sometimes with simpler explanations as well for beginners. To be fair I'm not too keen on the ketboard but so what- I know lots of people love it. Anyway all you need is a midi lead and the supplied adapter to connect it to a controller keyboard if that's what you want. If you're considering on I'd say get it. You won't regret it.

It’s a solid decision to buy this, especially for someone who is new to hardware-based synths. My experience so far is that it works well with Logic, and I’d recommend taking the time to learn as much as possible about its features. This is a keeper for me, and I’m really enjoying it so far.

so cool, I recommend a midi controller for it. Arturia is great though; keep them in n business. buy their stuff. it is a robust and fully featured 4 "paraphonic" (not polyphonic) little synthesizer, 20+ synth engines, firmware updates, a small learning curve, it's about the same size as a 13" laptop. You can pop it in a backpack if needed. Lots 6con connectivity options. Not too big, not too small. Easy to carry around, portable. I am a fan. Give arturia your money ~ they're one of the few companies out there trying to innovate and improve their products. It seems like they care and that is a rare thing these days.

El Arturia MicroFreak es un sintetizador súper divertido si te gusta experimentar con sonidos. Tiene 25 teclas y una combinación de osciladores digitales y filtros que te permite crear una cantidad infinita de sonidos únicos. En serio, podrías pasar horas jugando con él y siempre encontrar algo nuevo. El teclado PCB lo hace único, las variaciones de sonidos que puedes crear según cuanta piel esta tocando la tecla se siente genial. Es uno de mis sintetizadores favoritos porque te da mucha libertad para explorar y ser creativo. Ideal si buscas algo versátil y fuera de lo común.

After a lot of YouTube videos and reading online I purchased this to integrate into my dawless setup. Fantastic palette of sounds and latest firmware gives a vocoder. If you’re starting out this is very approachable, if you are experienced, the mod matrix alone will blow your mind. The granular and wavetables guarantee your wife will be sending you emails asking where you are. Only criticism is patch storage out of box - there aren’t groups of sounds that compliment, you go from vocoder to sequence to bass in two clicks. Buchla keyboard very expressive with after touch - I’m using the Microfreak outboard of keystep pro so don’t use it much but it does add a neat effect. Right after buying this you’ll be looking for some type of delay / reverb - stock sound is a bit flat but still liveable …. But reverb is like bacon…. Onboard sequencer is meh if you already have one, but is functional. ARP and HOLD are excellent. Highly recommend!!
