Great lighting, great maneuvering, great magnification. The base is long and has neat storage sections. The long base was the only problem I had. When I had to turn the base sideways or backwards to get the mirror closer to what I was trying to view, the base wasn't heavy enough to keep the light from falling over. Add some weight to the base and it would be prefect.

I'm not sure how I've survived so long without one of these before! I found that I needed to do some soldering for my Z scale train project, and this magnifying light has proven to be a godsend! I'm able to easily see the wire connections and solder them together without making a huge mess. I like that the light is bright, and the arm can be bent as needed for the project. Also, the magnifying glass can be covered when just the light is needed. I'm glad that I bought this unit instead of one that is battery powered, or one that has helping hands built in. Unless you spend a lot of money, the ones with the helping hands are just going to be unstable and fall over just when you don't want them to. I did end up buying a very nice set of helping hands anyway, but in my mind it's best to keep them as two separate units. The price point for this magnifying light was excellent - I feel that I got very good value for my money.

I bought this magnifying/light for working on my miniatures. It works really well but the only thing I don’t like is the neck is way too short and does not extend far enough to look at things. I just scooted over more but I really think they should make a longer neck for it. I love the little tray and holders that it has at the base and I haven’t had any problems with the lighting or electrical parts. If you plan on only needing a small area to work with this might be perfect for you but if you want something that you can extend for work in various areas I would look for a longer neck. I also use it for doing my nails and it works great for that.

I don’t use this magnifier a lot but when I do, it is great for my needs and a tremendous help. I sometimes work on replacing small computer and electronic parts like Apple Watch batteries and this unit is a tremendous help. The light is good, the little storage tubes are handy and the flap that covers over the lens is a good thing to protect it. Very pleased with unit and would highly recommend.
