Buy This One - Great Fuzz Octaver
This pedal sounds every bit as good as any of the vintage and boutique octave fuzzes out there. Just an all around great pedal. EHX is not one to disappoint. Why spend twice as much for the same sound? Plenty of good comparison videos out there. Make an educated decision when it comes to pedals like this one....just saying.

Use Neck Pickup For Octave Effect
A nice pedal and a good value. But be forewarned: the Octave Effect works well on the neck pickup, but not on the bridge pickup. I think this is true of most pedals of this type.

BEST FUZZ FACE CLONE
It’s hard to dial in killer tone, but there’s a little guild inside for 2 epic tones to start from, other than that it’s a really good alternative to a fuzz face, lots of Psychedelic stuff.

Meatier than I expected
As an artist, this is a must-have tool when creating or practicing solos or riffs. May not be the pedal to use on every song but kicks butt on the songs that demand it. This also sounds good using a booster. Did my research on this one and glad I now have it on my pedal board. I recommend this one for sure. I'm also a, 15+ year guitar player.

EHX-guy...sticking to EHX pedals!
I play in a metal band and I use this pedal to add a bit of noise-making/fuzz break-up to my sound. While I run most of my effects (Hot Tubes, POG, Small Stone, Canyon) through the loops of my Orange CR120 (with matching cabinet) via a Boss NS-2, my Octavix is run through the front just to give me a bit something extra to my rhythm sound - I kick it in when I let the chords ring out and there's a bit more strumming, BUT I don't use it on the choppy syncopated rhythm parts; as it tends to muddy up the sound...and I rarely use it on leads.I tend to keep the Boost and Octave knobs 8 o'clock and the Volume knob to about 11-12 o'clock.

My Love/Hate affair with Fuzz continues.
I keep trying to get close to the sounds I got from my Captain Coconut 2 which had a NOS NKT-275 germanium fuzz, and an Octavia clone (along with a nice univibe) since I sold it and doubled my money on it. Not even close. The Octavix is difficult to dial in, and I could not find a useful setting that worked within a band mix. I sold it in less than a month.

Great octave fuzz pedal.
Built well. Works great for Hendrix, KWS, and anything needing octave fuzz. Works great without octave enabled also. In front of tube amps and solid state amps.

It does its job well.
There's some weirdness with the octave at full settings, but for the most part it works extremely well as a fuzz pedal.
