Lee PrecisionC309-170-F Double Cavity Mold

I am a fan of Lee Precision Products and this mold was just as I expected. Took a few more throws than normal to get it working but then it worked like a dream. I pulled 15 random bullets and they were all + or - 1.5 grains. I own other brands that work well but Lee is always my 1st stop for unbeatable value.

Great cavity mold, perfect bullets for my 30.06. Keep in mind the mold has to be heated first.

Great Lee quality mould. Havent used this one yet but expect the same great results as all the other Lee dies and moulds! Cost effective and great quality. This is a mould that cast 'boolets' (definition: 'boolets' are home made, 'bullets' are store bought) with a gas check design that is easily crimp applied to the base of the slug with a Lee bullet sizer die. Cant go wrong!

I've got a number of Lee bullet molds and they all work well. Of course being aluminum you have to be a little extra careful with them. This particular mold has a little different construction than my older ones. It uses tapered pins for alignment, but goes together very nicely. I will clean it up and cast a few bullets this weekend. If there is any problems I will add to this review, however past experience with Lee molds makes me doubt that there will be any issue.

The new upgraded style of the Lee molds are much better than the old style. Alignment of the cavities are much better. Bullets are very consistent, and group quite well. I never cared much for the old style molds, but these new molds of the last few years are great, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy others, if the need arises. I don't see how Lee can sell them at this low of price.

Works great for 30-30 rounds. As with all Lee moulds and probably all moulds from any brand, it needs cleaning and seasoning to work well but after that it has been great.

Typical Lee quality. I also purchased a sizer and of course use gas checks. These bullets come out of the mold right at .309 in size.

Gas checks seat easily. Very accurate bullet. The new Lee design works awesome. These heat up fast and cast perfect bullets. There's no reason to use anything else. Best value.

Casts great boolits for my 30-30 with or without gas checks ( at slow velocity). But if your interested in this mold you already know that

Another good buy. Concentric results. Shoots well from my 30-30 lever. Less expensive than my other molds that were purchased new.
