The diameter of this hoop is NOT 8 inches. On the outside it’s 7.5 inches. On the inside (which is what I needed to be 8 inches to hang my embroidery design, which is about 7 inches wide), the diameter is 6.75 inches.

Well-made, definitely thicker and heavier than most hoops. Inner hoop fits well within the outer hoop, and holds material well. Very pleased.

Best hoops out there.

I had this hoop for 1.5 years and it worked wonderfully. Then after that time the treading on the screw stopped working. In order to do embroidery I tighten it tight and I would not have expected this to happen.

Doesn't hold material securely. Have to constantly re tighten

Better than any other embroidery hoops. By far!

The wood is good quality but the hoops do not evenly line up so there is a gap between them when I closed. Pretty annoying.

it is good for the money. don't press too hard or the hopes will fall through each other, even if tightened greatly.
