Meets our needs
We bought this stool for our 18-month-old to reach the sink and the toilet. He loves the freedom it gives him. He likes to stand at the sink and brush his teeth. He is of average height, but it doesn't allow him to reach the faucet. That's fine with me, though! The stool itself was relatively simple to put together and it seems very sturdy. I would say you might want to put some non-slip surface on the top in case it gets wet or your children have socks on. It is pretty heavy and has handles on the sides, so only I can move it, which is a good thing. The storage space is a good size, although I'm not really sure what I would put in it. We chose this stool because it was a good height and seemed like a good price for the quality. We are satisfied!

Great step stool.
We purchased this step stool for our 2 year old son - to assist with potty training. We tried a plastic stool, but it just wasn't high or sturdy enough for him. We like the storage feature and the hinges on it are designed to prevent smashing fingers. It's high enough and very sturdy. He can now get on to the potty and reach the sink to wash hands. It's also high enough to allow him to see the counter top in the kitchen - it'll be nice when he's older and can "assist" with baking.I was hesitant to buy after seeing reviews citing poor quality/construction. Ours arrived quickly, within a few days of ordering it (with Prime) and was very well made. I had no problems following the instructions. It came together easily and all the holes were properly drilled. I really like the bolt/cam this company uses to assemble this product - it was easy and seems sturdy. Total time to assemble was 45 minutes with a lot of interruptions... if I could have just worked on it, it probably would have taken about 20 minutes.

Good quality, but weird cuts
Love the color of this, got it in natural, which is actually what I would call a honey color. It is not a whiter pine. The wood is thick (with the exception of the floor of the compartment, if your kids step in there, it will break...thin!). My problem with this stool is with the cuts of wood. The back is cut at an angle, which is fine if the two sides of the back piece have the same angles. Not so in this case, quality control was off. So the cut of the angle is off, so one side of the stool looks bowed out. the other problem I have is that the top step is not flush, this time because of an intentional angling of the side pieces, making the bottom of the stool hit the cupboards, but the top not touch them. There is a gap of about 3/4-1 inch. Not really what I want when my toddler gets right to the back of the stool to wash her hands. That being said, that could be to make it sturdier, I don't know. On that note, I suggest getting some of those sticky pads to put on the back of the stool to prevent damage to your cupboards/vanity.All in all, would I recommend? Yes, because of the height, sturdiness, quality of wood, and visual appearance. My 2 year old that is shorter than average can now wash her own hands (with the assistance of the aquaduck extender, got the gray one) unassisted. This stool is sturdy. It has yet to move on it's own. Granted, it is partially on a rug with a pad on the side that isn't (circle rug in the bathroom and it's partially on, partially off). This stool is in our master bathroom, the only bathroom her little potty fits in, which I honestly didn't want to scream BRIGHT RED KIDS STEP STOOL in here. We already have one of those, the kidkraft firetruck stepstool in their bathroom, which is shorter by a few inches, but has a bigger cubby and no weird angles. However, we never use the cubby.Last note - assembly. Took longer than I thought, but not difficult. All pieces were there, and I used the tools they provided with no issues. Took me about 1/2 hr, would prob take my husband less time. Also, not sure why, but these instructions only included contact information for European customer service, so I'm not sure if it was a model made for Europe, which doesn't really matter, I just thought it was odd.I would recommend, but don't be looking for the highest quality that I've come to know from Kidkraft.

Sturdy Stepstool for a learning toddler or convenient for yourself.
This stepstool comes un-assembled. But it is easy to put together. It is a very sturdy wooden stepstool that has a little storage space to make it fun for your toddler to stuff things into.I use this for my (under 2 year old) toddler who is learning how to brush her teeth and wash her hands. It is sturdy enough to stay in its place and just heavy enough that she can't drag it around the house and use it.I purchased the white one so that the kids can paint on it when they get a little older. I recommend any Kidkraft product. Anything they make is well built and easy to put together. So you don't have to wait for "daddy" to get home and put it together. Anyone can do it.

Missing pieces
The actual step stool is nice and just the right size for my toddler, however, when we received the item, it is missing pieces! The inside sheet for the storage is missing and the screw openings for the top flip cover seem to be in the wrong place on one side. If you screw it is the way the holes are located, the top cover does not open. We tried flipping it to see if maybe we are doing it incorrectly, but that was not the case. If rotated, none of the holes matched up. Hence we have a step stool that does it's basic function, but is missing the inside storage as that can no longer be used as pieces are missing and the cover will not open due to improperly placed drill holes.

Good Buy
My three year old is potty trained but afraid of sitting on the full sized potty. This makes her feel safe and secure, along with the tinyhiney seat.It was easy enough to assemble, didn’t take too long, looks nice, is sturdy, and has a nice storage compartment. She can also use it to reach the sink.

Prodotto deludente
