It Works!
I paid less than 5 dollars for this, and it was so worth it! I was a bit nervous about it (cutting off my own ring? Scary!) but it was very easy and this tool works great. You do need help because you need two hands to use this (one holds handle down, other turns knob thing so it cuts through the ring). It's possible to do this yourself with patience but I really wouldn't suggest it. I tried and made a slight dent but I waited until I could have someone around and with help I was done in less than five minutes. Overall it seems like good enough quality and I did not get hurt at all. I guess now I have it in case anyone else needs it. :) If you are desperate or in pain....go to a professional. But if your ring is just really stuck but you aren't in pain...I'd say buy this! :) Okay, infomercial over...I just am happy to have my ring off.

It WORKS! Ring off in 10 minutes!
You need a second person to operate the tool effectively. I had my platinum wedding ring removed in less than ten minutes. The blade feels flimsy, but it’s sharp and it CUTS! You have to cut your ring in two places in order to remove. Highly recommend. Saved myself so much money.

Doesn't Work!
This is the very first time I am giving a negative review, which I hate to do; however, I just want to warn buyers that this is a flimsy product. It doesn't rotate and could not cut my ring. Whether I try it alone or try with someone to help, both results were the same-- it did not cut the ring! I think I may be better off using a thick gauge wire cutter.

Works!
The stone fell out of my engagement ring and I had been wearing it so long ( and gained weight) that I couldn’t get it off. I didn’t like the idea of a jeweler trying to cut it off and figured a $10 tool was worth a try. It works just as advertised. I was a little worried about a sharp saw so close to my finger but I needn’t have worried.

Operating Instructions Make it Work
This worked well for me on a ring I hadn't taken off in over a decade. This did not come with any instructions so here are a few recommendations for use: 1. Make sure the blade stays aligned with the curved track (there is some "play" and they could get offset, which would bind the saw blade) 2. Pressure on thumb handle to hold two halves together should be moderate -- you're not trying to slice it in two as you would with pliers 3. Turn blade forward -- away from handle (the teeth are canted, just like on a regular saw blade - you want to have them cut in at an angle) NOTE: Before using, I had to unscrew blade by turning in reverse and flip the saw so the teeth canted in the right direction 4. It takes a few minutes to go through a ring (even soft gold) Take your time and keep both halves aligned

This tool struggles and is somewhat flimsy
Well, the item was barely functional. It would ride up into the ring clip and the cutting wheel would kick off to the side and tighten around my finger. Pretty painful. We restarted about 4 times and finally managed to cut the ring off. But it was not easy or painless or even efficient. I'll never use this tool again that's for sure.

Easy and quick!
This was not prime when I ordered it and it took a very long time to get here (seemed to keep getting lost) but the second it came I opened it, checked the blade to make sure it was facing the right direction and got to work on my platinum engagement ring that had gotten a bit too small (they shrink, did you know that??). I was able to start the cut but I couldn't finish it on my own so I got my son to help me and within a minute or two I had the ring severed. But I needed to make another cut to try to get my finger out. It was so easy to cut a second place in the band. Then we just stretched it out a little and the ring popped right off. The tool looks like it could keep cutting metal without a problem!! I'm very pleased with this purchase! Since the jewelers don't cut off tons anymore and want you to go to the ER I'm so glad to have the option to buy my own and do it myself at home. (Who wants to go to the ER because you're too fat for your ring??!!). Lifesaver!! Definitely worth the money!! Directions did not come with it but it's easy to figure out. Put the lower curved metal piece under your ring to protect your finger, lower the wheel and keep your thumb on the wheel, turn the "key" away from you to turn the wheel to make the cut. Easy!

Worked great for disabled to remove valuable rings from swollen fingers.
Chemicals mostly in cleaning products cause swelling. I was unable to remove my rings from my left hand. One was a ring I had inherited from my grandmother so I wanted it to be repairable. The chemicals also caused lack of coordination & strength. I had to use my right had to cut my two rings off of my left hand. I was able to do so fairly easily without injury. Being right handed I was not able to cut the rig off of my right hand using my left. Luckily my right hand has not swelled much. I could not get help. Thankful for this little tool and Amazon getting it to me quickly.

Works great
This was very easy to use, although it did require two people. It cut through the ring very easily and quickly, I was impressed. Definitely recommend if you need to cut a ring off.

Got the job done
Is very simple to use, but you do need 2 people to cut the ring. One person to hold the handle down, and another to turn it. Had to cut off my wedding set, as it was cutting my finger. As you can see in the picture I had to cut it in 2 places

Don’t waste your money
Likely the worst item purchased on Amazon. Broke first time using it. Extremely poorly made product. No refund policy from seller
