Exactly what I was looking for to have full control over my Android HTPC
I am extremely pleased with my Rii mini K12. It works flawlessly. I purchased this keyboard/touchpad combo specifically to use with my Rockchip RK3188 Android TV media center. I'm nearing the end of my second week using this device and I don't have a single complaint. It's absolutely gorgeous. Very solid, extremely well made, stainless steel construction. I was apprehensive because I wanted something small but I didn't want to struggle with the keys. The K12 came very nicely packaged and ended up being much smaller than it appears online. The touchpad is huge though, and that's awesome! Setup was effortless, pop the dongle out of the back of the keyboard and stick it in an available USB port, and that's it! No drivers to mess around with, no configuration, this sucker just works straight out of the box! I honestly had reservations as I have much experience in dealing with computer peripherals and the last "all in one" wireless input device I had was simply horrible. This device however has risen to the top of my favorite toy list. The keyboard works great for what it's intended. I surely wouldn't sit down to write a novel on it, but for typing in URL's, search boxes, passwords, etc. it does the job very well. The dedicated android keys are a huge plus, and again they just work... all of them, regardless of which app I'm using. The touchpad is waaay better than I expected. It's very sensitive which is great, but can also be trying at times. Due to the super compact form factor of the mini K12, there is almost no border between the edge of the touchpad and the edge of the keyboard. This can result in some unintentional screen touches. I need to be careful how I hold the keyboard. As far as controlling the mouse is concerned, although a little bit of practice is necessary, there's nothing I can't do. Swiping, selecting, dragging, it's all a piece of cake. I was also able to setup gestures which I thought for sure wasn't going to work. Battery life is fine, I can hammer away on it for hours without worrying about recharging. I try to be sure and plug it in every night, but even if I don't, It has plenty of juice to get through most of another day. I normally sit at least 20 feet away and never have any connection issues... Unless the battery is almost dead or my line of sight is heavily blocked. The ONLY thing that could improve my experience with the mini K12 would be a backlit keyboard which would reduce my mid-movie struggles. It kinda stinks when you think you're hitting the pause key but end up hitting the advance track key. Not a really huge issue however as I knew this keyboard wasn't backlit when I bought it. If Rii tek (hopefully) decides to make a backlit version, I'll be the first one to order it! I highly recommend this keyboard/touchpad combo. Thank you Rii tek for an excellent product! Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed!

The Good: - The metal backplate
I purchased this keyboard for my Home Theatre PC and was instantly impressed with the build quality of what seemed a budget oriented keyboard. The Good: - The metal backplate, keys and trackpad are very well made and do not feel cheap at all during use. - To add to the build quality, the keyboard just looks good sitting around like a controller, it doesn't seem big or clunky and has nice refined features - The left/right mouseclick buttons on the bottom left hand side of the board are great for holding the keyboard like a phone and simply navigating and clicking with both thumbs on either side. - The battery life is still continuing to amaze me. I fully charged this once out of the box and have been using it as a simple controller for over a month now and still have not had to charge it. - The USB dongle for the device you are using is very small and not intrusive, the reception is also great with the USB dongle tucked away out of sight of the keyboard The Bad: - This keyboard is really awkward to type on given its different keyboard layout and shrunken size. The extent of my typing on it is simply to search for some keywords or type in a web address occasionally but its kind of a one finger picking ordeal, typing normally (at least for me) isn't an option on this board. This is honestly the only issue I've had with this keyboard. If you intend to type a lot I do not recommend this keyboard, get something with a normal button layout and you will save yourself a lot of stress. For a HTPC however, this thing is perfect. Aesthetically pleasing, low maintenance and incredible price point (when I purchased mine it was just under $20 although it seems to fluctuate slightly).

Perfect keyboard for HTPC
Perfect keyboard for HTPC, Raspberry Pi or any other computer you need quick access to a mouse / keyboard. It feels super sturdy and has a nice weight to it, doesn't feel cheap or that it would be easy to break. This is a rechargeable keyboard also which is nice and has a LED indicator to let you know if it needs charging / when it's fully charged. It worked out of the box without any driver install on my Mac, Windows, and Pi. The rewind, fast forward, play, next, previous, mute, volume up and volume down function keys at the top of the keyboard work on my Mac. The touchpad is one that you tap with your fingers, not one that you have to push down on it, so there's no click but the touchpad is responsive and easy to use. Also, another nice feature is there are dedicated keyboard buttons for right and left click of the mouse. These buttons are nice as you just move the cursor to where you want to click and then press either Left or Right button and it functions as if you right/left clicked with a mouse. You can also right or left click on the touchpad by tapping with one finger for the left click and tapping with two fingers for the right. The USB cord included with the kit has a split off so one part connects to the keyboard to charge it while the other split off is where you plug in the Keyboard dongle so you can use the keyboard while it charges. The dongle for the keyboard is housed (and can be stored) on the bottom of the keyboard on the right side of the raised keyboard section. Overall this product feels nice and well made where other cheap keyboards feel plastic-y, cheap and easily broken. So far it seems to function nicely and outside of getting used to the keyboard layout - I imagine this will serve its use for a long time.

Unreliable
A very well-constructed peripheral. I was immediately impressed by how thin, yet sturdy, the keyboard was. The keys are a little too small for an average male to touch type with but you can adjust to it fairly quick. There were no drivers to install; by the time that I had looked up from plugging in the small USB radio it was ready to use. The touch pad works nicely too. One-finger taps are left clicks, two-finger taps are right clicks. Sliding two fingers scrolls. Intuitive, simple, and small. Fits the bill perfectly and the price is outstanding. Edit: The best test of quality is time, and time has not been good to this keyboard. It was used only minimally. Two or three times. Went to use it again with a RPi and nothing. Tried it on several computers, nothing. Tried charging it for 24 hours, nothing. I even tried completely killing the battery by letting it sit for a week with a weight on the space bar and then recharging. Still nothing. This neat little keyboard is bricked...

Does your keyboard not work but the trackpad does? Potential solution for that issue within.
This just arrived today and out of the box the trackpad worked but none of the keyboard worked at all. This keyboard looks for certain top row keys to be held down when you power it on -- I think what finally got it to work again was holding down the black square button while turning the power on -- then turning it off then back on again while not holding any keys... there are other combos that make the blue led blink in different patterns but don't ask me what they do... it sure would be nice to have these documented Rii! Now that its working i like the size for very occasional use like a HTPC. The trackpad works fine but isn't the greatest. I'll try to remember to update this review after I've had it a while longer. At this point I more wanted to get the process that got mine working out there to help the next person.

CRAZY GOOD
Had this keyboard for a couple years now, and its honestly amazing. Build quality it amazing, battery life amazing, usb-c, touchpad works great, and the bluetooth range is really good 30 plus ft. Only thing I could knock it on is size but that can be a good or bad thing. It is compact, but is too small to have your fingers on home row. Overall fantastic product.

This works great on everything I've used it on...
I got this keyboard for it's small form factor and the fact that the "F" keys primary functions were setup for an Android ( Mini PC / TV Stick ) device, which is what I am using it on. The 10" width is just perfect for use on the couch or other place you don't need a lot of room used up. It feels very well built and solid. I do wish it had a slightly bigger capacity battery ( ~ 300mah ) and don't expect it to work more than a couple to perhaps three days on a charge if used much... so you will need to plug it in often. That said, it can work while plugged in to recharge if you do happen to forget. As I mentioned, this is a small form factor and those looking for a full size keyboard to touch type on... may be disappointed since this is about 3/4th the size. With a little practice, most people will adjust fine... at least I have started and it hasn't been a problem for me. One of the other reviewers mentioned it didn't work on Windows 7... this isn't true so I suspect that person had other problems with their Windows system... I tested it on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 and it operated as it should.

True Review
The keyboard is OK and does the job that I need it to do. Its not great. I am taking off one star due to an attempt to buy a five star review for 10 dollars. In the package there is card that stipulates how they will send you a ten dollar gift certificate for a 5 star review. This makes the rating system useless. I would have given this product a 4 star review had it not been slightly bent and had they not try to buy a 5 star review. Pros: 1- It is very portable and can be used from a good distance 2- It has a rechargeable battery Cons: 1- Bent housing makes it rock a bit when on a flat surface. I don't mind as much because I am using it mostly on my lap 2 - Keys are very close together. Not very easy to touch type but again that is not what this keyboard is for in my situation

Not for daily work
The keyboards are too close and therefore you always have to look at the keyboard to avoid making mistake but most of the times you hit two keys at the same time. the track pad is even worse. it doesn't create a smooth movement when scrolling, is not sensitive enough and is not pleasant to use.

Excelente para manos pequeñas.
Es un producto de alta calidad; con un precio muy razonable, está padrisimo. El único detalle es que las teclas eran demasiado pequeñas para mis dedos.

A bad purchase.
Once ordered, it took about 25 days to arrive. When i received the keyboard, it was too small to use for anything. When I tried to use, It wouldn't work. The keys were working fine but touch pad was giving bad response. I filed for return, and the very next day, a person visited to collect back the product. After that i waited. Waited for 25 days for anything to happen but no status change on order. I filed a compalint with amazon but no response or acknowledgement email from them. It's been more than 1.5 months now and the order is still reflecting as pending return. This was by far the most troublesome experience i had with amazon and bad first purchase from Rii
