MakitaB-54673 1/4 Inch Sq Drive Socket Adapter, Multicolour

Bought 13 November, been very useful but today snapped in two, under normal circumstances not a problem, but when the hex shaft is stuck in my impact driver and I can’t remove it, it’s exceptionally annoying. A makita holder in a makita impact should not snap. Yes they have a free repair service but it’s taken an essential tool out of its daily use and surely it’s a warranty issue with the bit, I don’t want to pay a £45 repair for a £54 piece of kit

Used for sockets roof maintenance on my barn and car maintenance. Works really well with my Makita impact driver. I had a different brand one previously that would get slightly jammed in the chuck after using at high torque but this Makita one is fine. It's been used on a dig basis for a while now and has still going.

These adapters really should not withstand the excessive torques of impact drivers (especially not ones that costs £3) but this one is holding up well so far. I used it with a Makita DTD154Z impact driver and 17 mm impact socket to remove the wheel nuts of the car. I was waiting for it to snap but surprisingly it didn't.I will definitely buy a few more to keep in the tool box.

Broke on first use to lock a nut (worked fine unlocking) after it snapped in two I still had to hand tighten the bolt with over half a turn, and now I have to get the other end out of the WERA bit holder which isn’t impact rated and that held up just fine.Waste of money don’t bother.

Snapped in two on first ever use... Use with a Makita DTD153. I’ve had cheap eBay drives that have lasted 100x longer...

Had very little use. Only used on fence clips so no real torque needed. Snapped after 1 week of use. Very disappointed being a well known brand. Contacted Makita and they are replacing it with a upgraded part.

My makita tools are always great but unfortunately this item broke in the first week. To be fair it was being used to drive in 17mm bolts in uni strut with an impact gun.

This is a specialised item only used installing unistrut with 17mm nuts. Great item for tool box at a fabulous price and delivered promptly.
