Yes the shirt does feature gold thread, heavily. Unless you are very meek and prefer to remain in the background don't buy this. On the other hand it is a Hawaiian shirt it should be bold. Anyway I have attached a better picture as to how the thread appears which is where the stamens is located, edge of petals and the vine/stem.The material is very comfortable, stretchy and very comfy .......

I wen one size up and it fits me perfectly. Has an amazingly nice material, don't regret buying this at all. My only 'ermmm' thing, is that it has gold thread at points, which I didn't expect. It makes it more Indian style than Hawaiian - but I love it still.

Got this for Full moon party last year in thailand, was great, but it doesnt really go well with the modern island life, this is more like middle age people wear, too vibrant for me

positive compliments from everyone, good for hawian parties! you will be the best dressed at these type of parties but no others lol, the gold in material really pops out and doesnt wash away and the shirt will last as the quality of this shirt is really high!

Lovely cool shirt and great pattern and colouring. Material is light and silky (but not see-thro.) and beware gold highlights (which I was not expected).Good quality shirt and well worth the money I think.
