Good quality product
It's durable, well-made and works smoothly. The number wheels are made out of metal instead of rubber, which is nice although it means you have to make sure you're stamping on a flat surface and also means it makes a substantial "clunk" noise when you use it. The only downside is that the only way to adjust the number wheels is to manually turn them using a pen (or the little plastic stylus they give you), so your fingers will get some ink on them if you're not careful. Overall, a great product for a reasonable price.

Great little machine for the price. Just read the directions!
I was initially very skeptical about purchasing this item, as many previous reviews were not flattering. However, I have thus far been quite impressed with this little machine (granted, I've only been using it for a few minutes). It can number documents in versatile ways. I personally want to be able to number exams, as 1, 2, 3,... and am able to do that. By default (at least the way mine arrived) it numbers 0000001,0000002,..., but leading zeros can easily be turned off by rotating the dials using a provided tool so that they are between 0 and 1 (this is explained clearly in the directions). I do have a number of gripes, but they are pretty minor ones: * I don't really like how the 4's are engraved, but they are still essentially readable. They do not look like the 4's in the picture posted by the manufacturer. * The ink-pads are a little on the "hairy" side, and these little extraneous fibers seem to reduce the legibility of some of the numbers earlier in the print job * Thickness of numbers isn't always consistent from application to application, but if you push STRAIGHT DOWN quite hard, the numbers look much better. This can slow you down, though, and it makes it a bit noisier. * The pictures in the directions aren't fantastic, but they are adequate On the plus side, I did not find setup to be at all messy. I got NO ink on my hands at all setting it up or using it. If you read the instructions thoroughly before you begin you won't have any problems. The ink is pretty viscous and needs a few minutes to completely apply. I can see how it could be messy if you over apply the ink, but the directions are very clear on how you should do it. The ink dried very quickly on my documents, and I did not have to resort to the tricks described in other reviews (maybe they put too much ink on the pad?) I didn't have any problems with the knob falling off, although it does arrive fairly loosely attached. I'd recommend turning it clockwise when you first get it to make sure that it's screwed in all the way. If you need your numbers to look perfect and professional quality, you probably ought to invest in a much more expensive machine than this. However, if you can settle with "very good", this is well worth the money.

Incredibly poor quality
Don't get me wrong, this is easy to use, and has a nice heavy feel, but good luck trying to get it to stamp anything. I soaked the ink pad in dye, and let it sit for the recommended time 4 different times... I stamped it enough times that I finally got it to stamp the full number string I wanted and it read 117. Then it never stamped fully again. It was missing the tops of the numbers, the full first number, the middle number, with no consistency. I had familiy members try it to see if I was just pushing it funny: same effect. I tried more pressure, less pressure, barely pushing it down, everything but slamming it into the paper to no effect. I know I tried a minimum of 130 times, because I got up to 123 once, and I had reset it to 0 at least 7-8 times. If I can't get this to stamp correctly once in 100 attempts, there's a serious issue. Like I said, build quality "feels nice" but is honestly anything but nice. Can't wait to return this broken piece of junk for something that actually works.

Works well
Very pleased with the stamp. Easy change of settings for multiple repetitions of the same number - good for stamping duplicate or triplicate receipt books. This was a deciding factor when choosing a stamp. So far so good.

Saves time
From the start it was easy to get started and made numbering a lot faster than writing numbers on the pages cutting the prepare time by over 50%

Just what I needed!
This numbering machine is exactly what I need to numer tickets for a fundraising event. It’s easy to use and set up to print duplicate as well as consecutive numbers. It’s easy came with everything needed, ink and extra pad.

Good Customer Service, Item Didn't Perform Well
The overall rating is for the item, not the vendor. The instructions were clear and it would be easy to use, but, in short, the ink pad kept coming out about every 3 stamps. If not for the ink pad issue, it would be a very good value for the money (very flexible in its range of uses). After replacing the ink pad 4-5 times, I gave up and went to hand numbering. That said, the vendor's service for my refund was great. It was no-fuss and very fast. This experience doesn't deter me from using them again.

Worked great, when it worked
The stamp is sturdy and well built. I think mine was the exception, however. Before i even opened the package i noticed a small pin floating around the plastic. Upon opening it i quickly figured out it was the hinge for the inkpad carrier. I put it back in it's hole and got to stamping. It works great, follow the instructions and read the reviews for tips and you'll have a great time. I didn't however, because the pin wouldn't stay. I tried to fix it with solder, hot glue, everything but crazy glue and it kept popping out. I'd get about 15-20 stamps in and I'd have to do find the pin again. If it worked I'd give it 5 stars, but needing to do 1200 pages i couldn't keep searching for and putting the pin back in. I broke down and did the last 800+ by hand. I would still tell anyone needing this to buy it and hope theirs is fully built.

Probably just as good as the other more expensive ones. Heavy duty, comes with its own ink, and two pads. Amazing.

Très pauvre qualité, le tampon encreur ne reste pas en place et les chiffres ne s'imprime que partiellement. Pour le prix c'est de loin le pire achat que je n'ai jamais fait. Very poor quality, the ink stamp does not stay in place and the figures are only partially printed. For the price it is by far the worst purchase I have ever made.

These are hard to find anywhere else at this good a price.

It's a nice solid device. The ink arrived leaking out of the bottle.

It seems like it’s a good numbering machine at modest cost. I can’t imagine what the expensive machines offer that this one doesn't.
