Children and parents enjoy it and provides lots of material for discussion. Review: My daughter had speech therapy for 2 years and we stopped because it was getting too expensive. So we decided to invest in both sets of these thoughts and feeling cards and it has really helped her continue her speech sessions at home. My 4 year old is a visual learner. She has a difficult time remembering auditory speech. But when something is written with words and pictures, she has a near photographic memory. So these cards are perfect for her. It forces her to think about these questions and using the pictures as guides it makes her use her speech to construct sentences and phrases. Sounds really basic but there's something about flash colorful flash cards that really captures a child's attention. I plan on using these in the junior high classroom environment too. Thnx** A: I enjoy using these cards to develop rapport with children. we take turns answering the questions (alternating cards, I keep pile and so do they) and then switch. Then he/she will try and remember my answers and I will do the same for them. It is definitely appropriate for a 7 year old. I do find that some children get fixated on the picture and not the questions. Some of the pictures make sense more to an adult than a kid. It would be a great start for you and him (modeling). **Q: How does it compare to 2 similar therapeutic games "Cadily, this is me" and "Let's talk"?** A: This game is really a beginners version to getting younger kids to open up and answer questions; where as the Lets talk game can be used for more ages and will likely spark a conversation. It has a variety of uses and kids respond to it. I find a lot of "therapy" games and items are usually too complicated for kids and they lose interest quickly. I like this game because kids can be playing with toys and other items like legos while they can answer these questions. It is helpful for kids that are less engaged in therapy.
