"Best Socks We've Ever Worn"
Like many fragile old people, my Aged Parent lives in mortal fear of slipping and falling, especially when he gets up during the night. And his feet are always cold. This is normal in a 91-year-old man. But when it came to light that the Aged P. had been wearing his running shoes to bed, I decided to take action. Maybe if he had a nice, comfy pair of nonskid slipper socks, he could be persuaded to leave his running shoes under the bed at night.I read customer reviews and carefully chose a pair of socks, but no sooner had I placed my order than I began to have second thoughts. If he didn't like the socks I sent, my father might keep on wearing his shoes to bed. So I ordered a second pair of slipper socks, of a different brand, but again I experienced misgivings. I think I ended up bombarding my poor father with samples of three or four brands of socks, including this one, from the UK.A year later, my brother says that these Heat Holders are the Aged P.'s clear favorites: they're the only slipper socks he wears, and now my brother wears them, too. He bought four more pairs of Heat Holders, so that they'll always have clean ones on hand. He says, "I can attest to their warmth, cushioned comfort and non-slip grip on the floors. I know that Daddy agrees. And they don't shrink appreciably in the wash. Best socks we've ever worn."As for those running shoes, the Aged Parent puts them on only when he's going to leave the house.

They really are fantastic!
I expected some soft cozy socks, but nothing as good as these. I've now purchased four pairs of these for different family members and they all want me to buy them more. I never expected to find something like this in a men's sock. They look like regular socks on the outside, they are incredibly soft and fluffy on the inside, they are thick and they have little gripper thingies on the bottom to make them non-skid and they wash up like a dream. What I can't understand is how they are SO MUCH WARMER than other thick socks. My brother-in-law wears them around the house and even wears them with shoes. My son wears them around the house instead of going barefoot and my husband wears them around the house and sometimes with his slippers over them if it's really really cold.I don't know how they make these socks so terrific, but they are worth every single penny you spend on them. I'm going to buy some for me and the kids.

Keeps Heat In
I bought these for my Dad when he had to go to a Nursing Facility for a few weeks for therapy. His feet were so cold and he also needed a slipper sock. Well these socks not only were the slipper socks that he needed but he said they kept his feet so warm that one day he asked the nurse to help take them off. I ended up buying two more pairs. Some of the other patient's ended up buying them as well because I found out when I bought the other two, he let the other patient's try them out and they ended up buying some. The nurse said the elderly folks feet are cold because of circulation and she said she would recommend as well.

Fuzzy and warm inside - best slipper socks yet!
I normally wouldn't write a review for slipper socks, but for these I'm making an exception. They are hands down the most comfortable and warm slipper socks I've ever owned. I've always had issues with other slipper socks either being too thin (cold feet), too slippery (stair hazard), too flimsy (falling apart after a few washes or easy to get holes), too short (giving cold ankles) or too tight (leaving indent marks on skin and cutting circulation). This brand, however, is a little slice of heaven for your feet. It was a nice surprise trying them on, the insides are soft and fuzzy (like a soft cotton ball) and they definitely keep the warmth in (yes, finally have WARM TOES!).They are lightly padded but don't feel bulky. You won't even notice the anti-slip bits on the bottom when you walk (some other brands you can feel the bumps down there, not so with these). They make great slipper socks for relaxing around the house. I don't think they would make good outdoor boot slippers though since the soft fuzzy insides cause your feet to slide around inside them a tiny bit (doesn't affect walking in just the socks, but if you are in boots you want sure footing). If you are looking for boot socks this manufacturer makes 4 different flavors of these Heat Holder socks (normal socks, these slipper socks, tall socks, and ski socks). This pair of slipper socks is long enough that you can pull halfway up your calf for extra warmth, and they feel like high quality. This pair is a winner for cold feet, and would make a great stocking stuffer for either gender (they make a ladies version of these slipper socks, though I suspect they aren't as roomy as the mens version). The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because they are the most expensive slipper socks I've ever purchased, though I guess you do get what you pay for. :)

nice warm and comfortable
These are awesome, I bought regular heat holders last year and found they were very warm cause I suffer with cold feet from having mobility problems. these ones are a little larger/ longer/fuzzier and the non slip rubber checks help keep me stable on the wood floors. they also did not shed and fall apart like some others I've bought. I think they are well worth the money I plan on buying more!

Soft, warm clouds of comfort
I purchased several pairs for my husband. His feet are always cold due to frostbite when he was young. He lives in them during the winter months. We live in central Florida and have cold tile floors no matter the season. He sleeps in them, walks around the house in them and even stuffs them into his knock around shoes during the day. They wash up beautifully and I hang them to dry. They slip on really easy as well.
