How can the volume of the 24" width and the 30" width both be 1.2 cu ft? Is the wide one lower?

Standard widths for kitchen cabinets are 24" and 30". Some manufacturers offer the same 24" wide device with a wider door so it will fill a 30" wide cabinet space.

How tall of a bowl can I use? I can't seem to find the inside dimensions..

I believe 7" is maximum height.

They say the control panel can be obstructed by counters sticking out too far. Has anyone had this problem? What is the overhang of your counters?

good question. Mine is mounted 1/2" below the overhanging countertop (1/2" gap between very top of MW stainless face and the countertop). The countertop overhangs 1 and 3/4" inches. It is not a problem as currently mounted. I could see, though, how if the overhang was a half-inch more, it would be somewhat visually obstructive, but still not a show-stopper for a 5'10" person. In any case, the shorter the person, the less of a problem any "overhang" will be.

Does anyone have the "venting problem" where condensation from steam exiting the bottom vents damage the cabinets below the microwave?
