How many mm thickness? Im seeing woks rang from 1.2 to 1.8 mm.

Hello there, our Mammafong flat bottom wok is made of 16 gauge carbon steel which means the thickness is vary from 1.3mm-1.5mm. I know this may sounds confusing. As our wok is handcrafted and specially designed to have a thick base and thin wall, you may find the base is thicker (1.5mm) than the edge of wok (1.3mm). What prevents helper handle and the steel part of main handle from rusting? Do I have to season those too?
