The best pay off for a long running series
I typically don’t like the hype people build around these big moments in these comics, the introduction on Negan, the whisperers, the governor’s raid, the end of the series, but in this case, this is my favorite Walking Dead volume. This is the only way it could have ended, and it works so well. The pay off of these moments is earned in the arcs and trials these characters went through to, and by the end I was literally dry heaving. My book has water damage from my tears on the last 70 pages, which took me 2 hours to read because I was so busy crying. It sounds like a joke, but it’s not. This is the most satisfying ending I’ve ever experienced to a story I’ve been following for the past 5 years of my life, and I’ve never been truly happy with a conclusion to a story like this. It would have been so easy to take a different rout for the ending and to do something that follows the trends of the books, but this series wanted to make people feel like they read something worth while. And I did. Glad I read these books and I got to see the ending we deserved.

Great finale to a great series!
The Walking Dead is one of the few comic series that I have consistently kept up with as they release them and the quality of the story telling has remained excellent and intriguing throughout. The ending to the story is no different and I think the writers did an excellent job in wrapping up this epic story that so many people were invested in. Volume 32 contains issues 187-193 of the comics and also includes a nice epilogue by Robert Kirkman about his journey developing the Walking Dead and his thoughts on the ending. Very satisfying read. Highly recommend.

Goodbye Old Friend
SPOILERS AHEADI’ve been reading The Walking Dead since I was 10 years old so when I heard it was ending I was pretty shocked. Still, I feel like it was time. Had it gone on any longer I feel it would’ve gotten really stale (Like the show did years ago.)I’m reading that some people felt the ending was too abrupt and left many things unanswered, but I disagree. We don’t really need to know what happened to Sebastian or why Maggie has become so cold. The whole plot of the series is about an ordinary man being pushed to his limits to make a very sick world safe enough for his son to live in, and ultimately he succeeds even though it costs him his life. This is NOT the show. This is Rick Grimes story and with the exception of a beautiful final issue he’s not alive to see we’re following him the whole way through. Not to say the series isn’t flawless. Juanita is an utterly pointless character as far as I’m concerned, but I can easily look past them.Overall this is the perfect ending to the series. A hopeful end in a very bleak world. You’ll be reminded of all of the characters lost along the way, how all of the torment they’ve gone through is finally vindicated. It just makes me happy.

Unanswered Storylines
I loved the comic series and hate that it’s coming to an end. There are some question that we’re left unanswered. What happened to Neagan, As well as the final demise of Sebastian, after being locked up for life. You’ve opened storylines and didn’t complete them. The undead living and walking with the dead. These are only a few of the unanswered questions left behind. Other than my personal complaints, TWD was interesting reading and I know the writing comes to an end, I only wish the story line had covered more details on life after the commonwealth rebellion and mankind getting a stable foot back to a stable civilization.

The Bitter End
Getting this volume last night and then immediately stopping to read it was bittersweet. I loved it because I've loved reading them all the night that I receive them, but it's sad to think that this will be the last one I'll get. Thanks for the ride Kirkman! In terms of the volume itself, I mean, it's great. No spoilers, but while it doesn't really wrap up the story that's been building, I'm not surprised it didn't. Robert Kirkman always said that he wanted to write a comic book of what happens after the zombie movie ends. These 32 volumes are that book. You don't know what happened before, and there's plenty that's going to happen after, but that's ok. The book is, as always, written and drawn well. Issue 193 was great and a fitting end for the series, even if it left me wanting for more. It's better to keep your fans wishing for more than it is to overstay your welcome.

End of the Road
I enjoyed this series from beginning to end, starting it back in 2011. As I've wavered from the show, I never wavered from the comic. Kirkman and crew always found a way to keep surprising me, telling compelling story and giving me expressive art on which my eyes could feast. I love how it end. It gave me chills. I love everything about this series and I'm sad to see it go, but I'm glad it went the way it did. God's speed.

TWD is my happy place
Awwww I’m sad it’s over. This series this universe has been with me most of my relationship. I stumbled across the tv show with my fiancé 8 years ago. We were in bed channel surfing and saw an image of a kid teasing a zombie and we were hooked from there. Once I found out there were comics I read the then I stopped when I got ahead of the show because I was so excited I kept spoiling it for my fiancé so out of love I put them aside. But last year I picked them up again and just kept everything to myself. When we watch the show and I’m not shocked by something he looks at me and says “you knew already huh?”Thank you Robert Kirkman for giving me something I didn’t know I needed. My apologies for not jumping on in the beginning but I could not imagine how you could keep a zombie story or show going for as long as you have (and did with this series) thank you!
