Out of the box they won't pick much. They are made for dimple locks. Practice on standard pin tumbler locks before starting down the dimple lock route. As for this set, it is not great. It will need a lot of filing and sanding before it is usable.

Is it possible to buy spare/replacement tips anywhere?

The set is so cheap it wouldn't be worth it. In any case making a new tip would also be very easy from a piece of old car wiper blade.
