The new seals stopped the leaks from the old, hardened ones. For the larger gasket, the new mesh was coarser and did not fit especially well, so I reused the old one. The mesh is not bonded to the gasket, so it can simply be pushed out and replaced.Two lousy gaskets cost something like thirty bucks at auto parts stores, so this was well worth it.

I had a solenoid leak on my track car, but didn't have time to special order a Honda gasket in. I put this in and had everything tight and sealed (or so I thought). It leaked worse and worse over the whole weekend. When we trailered the cars back home, it had p*ssed oil all over the concrete in a puddle. Huge mess. I put the Honda gasket in later and never had an issue again.

Didn't come with the filter but I went ahead and tried them but they didn't work and leaked. I went ahead and bought some Dorman gaskets from the local parts store and they came with filters and worked great no leaks. The one near the bolts is the lab works brand.

Failed after 4 months of use. Better go with oem for long term. This is just a band aid.
