Nosound music doesn't sound like anything you heard before but you'll become addicted real quick.This music is inspired - quiet - sometimes a bit sad but what's more beautiful than sad.You liked Pink Floyd - Tangerine Dreams - Yes and others you'll love Nosound...

Frankly I was board with the release. Maybe if you are a musician you might "get it" but as for me its was only a little more interesting than soundscapes.

I was entranced by 'Sol29'. It had a unique style, it expanded the mind and the soul; at times, in moments of quiet sensitivity it could amplify belief and desire. In short the music contained in the album was an experience. It is I think one of my top albums. I bought 'Afterthoughts' hoping for some development of the Sol29 experience. In 'Afterthoughts' I did not find it. Ever so slightly disappointing; lots of the same soulfull themes, unmistakeably NoSound in style, but seriously lacking that spirit-wrenching twist that Sol29 seemed to provide in abundance. It may be that I have not played it enough. I will give it a few more spins. However you really cannot get away from your first impression. It is like a sandwich without the filling. Edible but pretty bland. Sorry guys.

It may take some time, but when listening to this album repeatedly it actually grows to - perhaps not a masterpiece - but a very, very good album, indeed. One of the absolute best releases of 2013. Strong songwriting, tasteful arrangements and guitarplaying and drumming of the highest quality.

Well, I've played this through a couple of times since it arrived this morning. I was lucky enough to be one of the first batch of pre-orders to get the CD/DVD-A and bonus instrumental CD.I plan on doing a more in-depth review over on my blog in the next few days but I will detail my initial findings. From a compositional perspective, this is a thoughtful album. It's mellow, ethereal and melancholy. When things pick up, tempo wise, later in the album, it's quite noticeable because the rest of the album is far more subdued. The lyrics are meandering and complex, not necessarily conforming to typical lyrical structure but then this is 'prog'Production wise, it's a fine accomplishment which really springs to life in the 5.1 mix. Naturally, the MLP encoded mix is the finest; the clarity and detail shining through. Subtle use of the rears ensures a suitable sound-field and Giancarlo's vocals cut through nicely. This is definitely an album for cool, solitary evenings. Dim lights, a fine wine and this body of work will perfectly match your mood should you be feeling lonely, sad, thoughtful and forlorn.The instrumental CD is a real bonus, in every sense of the word. The tracks are incredibly detailed and well put together and my only wish is that these were also available in 5.1, such is their quality.Worth every penny and kudos to Giancarlo for responding to customer demand and releasing this in 5.1, especially in DVD-Audio, something I wish Steven Wilson had done with TRTRTS.A fabulous achievement!Bravo, Giancarlo. Molto buoni questi Nosound....per fare una critica, Giancarlo non ha una grande pronuncia, ed è abbastanza "monotono" nel suo modo di cantare, ma nel complesso un buon album. Poi c'è Chris Maitland on Drums....una costola dei Porcupine continua a vivere negli italiani Nosound....Coraggio, sosteniamo la musica fatta dai nostri...

Si raccomanda Il CD / DVD-A edizione. La qualità della confezione è molto buona. Il mix 5.1 è molto buono come alternativa
