I used the Diva cup for about three years before I decided to try something new. The Diva cup was fine... it never leaked but it wasn’t exactly comfortable. The description suggested I needed the larger size (I’m over 30 and have no children) but I always suspected I needed a smaller size because it didn’t quite feel right. I read the reviews of several cups and decided to try the Lena cup. This time I ordered the smaller size. Big mistake. The Lena cup is firmer than the already firm Diva cup and they both have a thick lip around the top, which made them both unpleasant to remove. What’s worse, I leaked profusely for the first three days of my period, almost like I wasn’t even wearing a cup. I tried different insertion methods and nothing worked. After four months of battling the Lena cup, I did a lot of research. I read that different cups work for different women because of the position of the cervix. I’ve tried finding my cervix before (after reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility) but never felt it, so when I read that some women have a high cervix I suspected this might be me. I also read that the cervix is in its lowest position on the first day of your period so when my next period started, I felt for it. Sure enough, it was there but it was way up there. The Lily cup is longer, softer, and narrower so I thought it may be the answer to my mentrual cup woes. Inserting it on day 1 was a little different than the others because it’s so much longer. After a couple attempts, I thought I had it in place. I dumped it twelve hours later and what happened surprised me... there was no bloody mess. I always got blood all over my fingers when dumping and cleaning the Diva cup and I looked like a field surgeon in wartime when dumping the Lena cup (blood EVERYWHERE). Cleaning is way easier with the Lily cup because the blood is completely contained in the cup with nothing on the outside. No matter which cup I use, it rarely feels like it opens up all the way inside me. That was still the case with the narrower Lily cup but I think it fit right below my cervix so it didn’t matter. Did I mention how much less blood there is with the Lily cup? There’s not even any in the vaginal canal, it’s all contained in the cup. After four years of wearing cups, I can’t believe I didn’t know this was possible. The mess made me dread going to the bathroom, I hated the messy process and the discomfort trying to pull the others out with the thick ring around the lip. It’s a completely different experience with the Lily cup, no discomfort and almost no mess. Every body is different so this cup won’t work for everyone. But if you try a cup and it’s uncomfortable (either wearing it or removing it) or if you leak, don’t put up with it. Try another one. And definitely check for the position of your cervix on the first day of your period... if it’s high or tilted, there are cups made specifically for you. Check out putacupinit.com for great info.

I’m in my mid-30s, I have a very high and very tilted cervix (up and to my left), I have vestibulodynia (nerve pain at the entrance of my vjj), and I have been using menstrual cups for 10+ years — from way back in the Dark Ages of Cups (~2007), when we only had the Keeper, the Moon Cup, and the Diva. Since then, I have tried tons of different cup brands, styles, sizes, etc. I LOVE using cups instead of pads and tampons, but the main problem for me has been that they always leak, which is really common for people who have a high, tilted cervix (ahem). A secondary problem for me is that because almost all cups have a very thick lip around the top rim, I find them quite painful (temporarily) to insert and remove because of my vestibulodynia. The Lily is the first cup I’ve EVER USED that does not leak and does not hurt. I can hardly believe it. I’ve worn it for two cycles now and, for the first time ever, was able to not have to wear a pantyliner at the same time. The Lily is a very tall cup, so it’s good for those of us who have high cervixes. I also think the angled rim helps in positioning the cup to accommodate the tilt of mine. The silicone material is *extremely* soft, much softer than any other cup I’ve previously used. Instead of that thick lip at the top that most other cops have, the Lily has a bit of a ledge around the inner circumference at the top. This, coupled with the soft silicone material, makes insertion and removal an EFFING BREEZE and nearly painless, which is honestly a godsend for me. However, the super soft material also meant the Lily didn’t expand/seal immediately upon insertion; it stayed “dented” on one side for several minutes. I had to rotate the cup a few times and use my index finger to press on its side, and eventually it expanded and sealed. Removal was easy, and the stem feels like it’s really strongly connected to the base of a cup and won’t be easily ripped off (a common problem with many other cup designs). Using the Lily was the first time I’ve ever removed a cup where there wasn’t also blood on the outside of the cup (which means no leaks!!). I nearly cried: I’ve finally found a cup that (1) is tall enough (high cervix), (2) has an angled top (tilted cervix), (3) is made of super soft silicone (better for my pain issues), and (4) doesn’t have that super thick lip around the top edge (ditto). I swear, the person who designed this cup must have the same anatomy as I do! SO GRATEFUL, immediately buying another. Thanks a million, Lily!

I bought both the size A and the size B of the Lily cup original after the quiz on Put A Cup In It website suggested it for me and my high cervix. (Which I didn't know was even a thing!) I had tried the Diva cup on and off through the years with horrible success. It was just too hard and migrated too far up that getting it out was nothing short of traumatic most of the time! So I first ordered the size A of the Lily Cup and it is MUCH softer and more flexible than the Diva cup. It is also much MUCH longer than both sizes of the Diva. The first month I tried size A I had a heck of a time getting it to get a seal. Especially on my heavy day, it leaked horribly. The other days it did a so-so job. I didn't want to give up on the brand as the cup itself is very well made and its so soft and compared to how irritating the Diva was for me, the Lily was a godsend! So I did some research and decided to order the size B as it is a bit larger, the rim is wider, and it is a tad firmer overall than the smaller size. At first this month was going fantastic! The first day I got the size B open every time and got a good seal! PERFECT! I was excited! But then my super heavy days started. I ended up over filling the cup twice and after that I just could not get a good seal anymore. I don't know if my walls were too slippery or if my cervix shifted or what. After some trouble shooting and research I found that your vaginal walls can change during your period so I ended up switching to the large Venus cup as it is a bit firmer and it opens much easier. (I had found that brand while researching cups and the price was right to order it the same time I did the Lily size B) When I did get the Lily cup to open and seal, it was great. No problems. But this seemed, for whatever reason, to be impossible on my heaviest days. When it did seal it was easy to break the suction and remove the cup. It was comfortable to both insert and remove as well as easy to reach! (big issue for me and the Diva cup!) I also noticed that because the Lily cup is so soft that when it's inside it almost seems to collapse in on itself. The rim itself is open and it is sealed but the cup itself is all squished together and doesn't keep its shape much at all. (At least from what I can tell if I feel around) This is probably fine on light days but I think it is why it over flowed on my heavy day really fast. Because of this it is really hard to get the cup to open if it doesn't right away. With the Venus cup I push against the cup and wiggle it around a bit and it opens, the Lily cup I have to remove and try again. That being said, the cup works if the seal can be achieved but it IS harder to get it open right and failure usually ends up in taking it out, rinsing and trying again. Granted, I may just need more time with the cup to become perfect with it but I think on my heavy days the ticket for me is using the Venus cup large while the other days the Lily cup seems to be just fine. (At least that's my game plan since I have both brands!) In conclusion the Lily Cup really is a great cup. It's well made, it's very soft, and its long for women with a high cervix. However, I'm taking off a star for how difficult it is sometimes to get it to pop open right and get a good seal. Also, at least for me, it seems like it squishes together making the cup hold less. Just some points to consider. What works for me may not work for you. But I am generally happy with this cup, I just wish it worked perfectly every single time. I will keep it around (especially the size B) for my lighter days.

The Lily was a lot better for me than the Diva Cup, which was really stiff, too long, and constantly jabbed me with the stem- its suction was hard to break and hurt like it was trying to remove my cervix whenever I would take it out. The Lily is a lot softer and it's much better, but unfortunately it still isn't quite right for me. When I push it up as high as I can to prevent any leaks, I get a constant, dull cramp from it and pain relievers don't help. When I address this by inserting it a little lower, it constricts my urethra so I can't urinate at all, and it will leak more when in that position. Seriously, one time I removed the cup and as soon as I started pulling it down I had urine gushing out! No matter how I position it there is a serious problem. At least the stem doesn't poke me. I am so disappointed, guess I'll have to keep looking. And the sizing system for these cups is a joke, they assume you need the smaller one if you are under 30 AND never had kids, but I am over 40 with no kids.. so which is it? I ordered the smaller size. It's a shame, because this cup would be great if I could wear it without the cramping. It is very easy to fold and insert, and the spill rim is great. I have always had a very heavy flow so I accept that I will have to empty the cup several times during the day, and I will never be able to go "padless" because of that. I would love to be able to find a cup that works for me so I don't have to use the super thick, long, ultra overnight pads- during my heaviest days I can fill up one of those and start leaking within 2 hours- and that will continue for the first two days of my period. Ugh, I can't wait for menopause! I think I will try the Meluna or Lily Compact next- but I'm getting tired of spending money on cups that I can't use!

I am so glad that I did not let the negative reviews deter me from this amazing product. I wear it day and night, remove it and clean it about two-three times throughout the day. It is the perfect size (I have size A), it is not too big, or too small and it never falls out. I can urinate with it in, it does not push against my urethra/bladder. Insertion is the easiest part, I mastered it on the first try. It didn't "pop" me when it opened up either. It is easy to know if it has opened up all of the way/created a seal- if you can't feel it open, then slightly tug on it...if it comes out, then it is not opened up, if it resists, then it is...also wiggling it from side-to-side if it hasn't opened all of the way may cause it open.The little tab on the bottom doesn't bother me too much, so I haven't bothered to trim it and I don't think I will. Also, you can feel it there, but it's comfortable. When it is inserted (for me), I can feel the presence of something, but it's not a nagging/uncomfortable feeling. Every once in a while it gets higher up my vaginal canal (when I squat or do yoga), when this happens I can feel it the most, then it gets uncomfortable; I have to reach in and tug on it so it can be back near the opening and it's back to normal. I have had no leakage, and this product has not caused me any cramping. My only advice is to be careful when removing the cup and to do it slowly, and to always make sure you pinch the base of the cup to remove the air suction so it doesn't pull on your cervix. It gets five stars from me! Sidenote: I should also add that I am a first-time cup user as well!

I think this is the first non positive review I’ve ever left on any product, but I feel so strongly against this cup I want to make sure those interested in it know exactly what they may be getting themselves into. As a woman who feels very passionate and connected to her femininity in the way in which she honors her cycle, I strongly believe this cup does not represent in any way how a menstrual cup should feel in our bodies. There are many things I can say about why I don’t like the lily cup, but my two mayor points were getting the cup to pop open once inside, and then taking it out. This cup is the softest I’ve ever felt, but that’s not a good thing given it becomes an issue when trying to use your fingers to put pressure on the base of it to get it to open up. Once finally open, taking it out is horrible. I wish there were another word to describe it, but it was the worst experience I’ve had in a long time. Given this cup doesn’t have suction holes, you need to pinch it to release it which is difficult considering how tall the cup is. The suction on the cup is exaggerated and scary. Overall, I realize this cup is a great hit or miss amongst women, I wish I honored the great amount of reviews I read that didn’t approve of it instead of wasting my money and most importantly, putting my body through it. Using this cup was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had so far this year and that says a lot. It also made me quit emotional which is absolutely not what a woman should experience when trying to care for her body. This cup is not kind or gentle towards the female anatomy, and goes against everything your period stands for. There are tons of amazing menstrual cups out there which cater to women with love and empathy, don’t waste your time, energy, or money on this cup.

I’ve used about 5 different brands of menstrual cups and have had varying degrees of success with all of them. This is the only cup that I have found that seems too long. I can feel the tail on the inside and out. The menstrual cups should be so comfortable that you forget you’re wearing one. I can really feel it, all day long. Every woman’s body is different and I know it is difficult to engineer a cup that will fit 100% of women. I have had 3 children and ordered the appropriate size. I was looking for a cup with a softer ring. The ring is soft and I can fold the cup in a C fold for the best results. But the length from the lid to the bottom of the tail is longer on one side than the other. The lid should probably he placed with the longer side towards the back of your cervix. But I can’t confirm that I am able to control that placement. Sometimes I think I get it right and I have minimal leaks. Other times I think I didn’t get it placed just right and it leaks, heavily. All in all there is great potential for this product, but this cup needs to be shorter and I might have better luck if the lid were flat and not at an angle. I do love the softness, the solid color, and the lip on the lid which helps prevent spillage. Great potential but disappointing execution.

I have tried so many menstrual cups because i’ve been wanting to make the switch from tampons for a long time. Until the Lily cup, I have not been able to find one that works for me. None of them fit correctly and I have experienced a combination of leaks, discomfort, difficulty inserting and removing, and many other unpleasant side effects that come along with using a cup that doesn’t work with your body. for reference I have tried the Saalt cup, Flex cup, and Diva cup, all of which I hated. UNTIL I FOUND THIS ONE. Now I know this cup is made for a very specific vagina shape, which is high cervix and narrow(ish) vagina canal. if you have had problems with cups getting so far up there that it is hard for you to get them out (me) or cups that are too large of a circumference and never fully open while inside of you (also me) I highly recommend trying this one out. I have the size A and despite having a heavy flow (using super plus tampons the first few days of my period) I have never experienced leaks with this cup after wearing it for 12 hours. it takes a little practice to insert, which goes for any cup, but once you get the hang of that this thing is amazing. it’s also SO much softer than all of the other cups i’ve tried, so it’s much more comfortable to insert but isnt so flexible that it collapses on itself. If you seem to have the same problems as me with menstrual cups, please give this one a try!! it’s so amazing and I will be making the forever switch from tampons. better for your body and the environment!❤️❤️

Meine Bewertung gilt dem Intimina Cup derselben Größe, den ich vor etwa 7 Jahren gekauft habe, da ich den neu gekauften noch nicht ausgetestet habe. Das gute Stück passt für mich perfekt und funktioniert auch noch nach all den Jahren einwandfrei. Wie vom Hersteller beschrieben, ist das Material (insbesondere im Vergleich zu den meisten anderen Modellen anderer Hersteller) sehr weich und hat gleichzeitig bei der für Menstruationstassen empfohlenen Pflege bisher keine Ermüdungserscheinungen oder dergleichen gezeigt. Insgesamt hat sich der Kauf für mich gelohnt und daneben viel Müll eingespart. Vor dem Kauf empfehle ich aber sich genau zu informieren, welcher Cup für welchen Zweck am besten geeignet ist. Jeder Körper ist schließlich anders.

Questa è la mia prima coppetta in assoluto, ero molto scettica in verità ma mi sono dovuta ricredere! È veramente fantastica, consiglio a tutte l'acquisto(ovviamente se avete la cervice alta, altrimenti conviene prendere un altro modello). La misura b è adatta a chi avuto parti naturali essendo un pò più ampia. Materiale morbido tipo pelle di pesca, essendo liscio si lava molto più facilmente non avendo scalanature. Il bordo molto utile aiuta a non avere fuoriuscite durante la rimozione. Ho dovuto tagliare completamente il gambo, per una questione di comodità, questo va da donna a donna. Un ottimo prodotto! Acquisterò anche la compact per un paragone, ma al momento sono veramente soddisfatta. Consigliatissima!

I've tried two other types of cups with various success, but ultimately kept looking for the cup that best suited my needs. I've finally found it! Out of the three it is by far the easiest to insert (which I didn't expect because it's quite soft for a menstrual cup). I didn't need any practice or adjustment period, as I have with the other two cups. Very easy to use and I've had no accidents whatsoever. More importantly however, it has also been the easiest cup to remove (which has been my main issue with the other cups I've owned). Appearantly, my cervix is rather high and I've had problems reaching/removing the other cups in the past, making my feel anxious about using them... But the lily cup fits me perfectly. I can reach the stem quite easily, and at the same time the stem is not too long and in the way. That would also be my advice to others: Keep your height in mind as well, when you choose a cup. The manufacturers only tell you to choose cup size depending on your age and if you have had any children or not. My theory is that height matters as well. But please keep in mind it is just a theory. But for those of you reading this review and who may have experienced problems reaching your previous cups, this works for me and I'm 1,75. Another customer left a review stating the cup "was huge" and I almost didn't buy a lily cup based on that review. I'm glad I did though - I find the cup itself is no bigger than other size 2 cups. It's longer and in a different shape, but not bigger and not huge. Only slight disadvantage: the "collar" on top makes it a bit of a hassle to clean, but it is my understanding that it is also the collar that keeps it so safe from accidents. So I can definitely live with that!

For me, it's too long, I feel constant pressure inside, and it's very difficult to remove, but quite easy to install. It is rigid and prevents leaks. I used to use a softer cup, but it was difficult to install. So for me it's a disappointment in comfort, but a satisfaction in reliability. I use it when I want to be sure that there will be no leaks - for swimming.

Déjà utilisatrice de coupe menstruelle, je trouve celle-là très bien, elle est plus souple et douce, moins difficile à enlever que les autres coupes, mais du fait de sa souplesse il faut prendre le coup pour la plier et la mettre mais globalement pour le moment j'en suis ravie.
