Water does not taste good due to plastic lid
This heats up very fast (as expected), but you have to pour it out of the thermos lid. Unfortunately the lid has plastic, which makes the water taste like plastic (unpleasant for my taste buds). The other regular thermos that I own does not make the water taste so bad when you pour it. I am not sure what kind of plastic in this lid causes the water to taste so bad. If you remove the lid completely & just try to pour it, the water doesn't taste so bad, but I almost scalded myself this way.

THIS PRODUCT IS VERY DANGEROUS!It looks like all previous reviews were fake, because this product is not usable. There are so many problems.1. There are no turn-on/turn-off switch and and max fill level which are described in manual.2. If the lid is closed tight ( e.g. in thermos mode) boiling could cause a danger!3. The lid is not fitting well in kettle mode and can drop off when you leaning kettle so the hot water pours out - that's dangerous as well!4. The lid is made from plastic inside and I can smell a lot of plastic after boiling5. You can't place this kettle in you car's trunk as the water blows a little out even if the lid is locked - my previous kettle had same problem and car's trunk was wet.6. The manual has lot's of typos and is not accurateI am going to return this kettle.

Where's the off switch
Heats up fast, I was pleased with the look. The only big complaint is that there is no power button. You have to leave it off the base in order for it to turn off.

Hot water fast
This item heats water faster than anything I have ever used. I was going to make some coffee so I filled it half way with water and started to get the the coffee and my cup out of the cabinet and by the time I had measured out the right amount of coffee the water was ready, really fast.

The spout does not allow water to flow out very fast. Small red release does not work. I have to take the lid clear off and pour my water out. Should have returned it but I didn't. I turn it off in between cups of tea because it is so loud when it heats up if it is left on.

Terrible Rubber Odor
Works well, but terrible odor like rubber, and have not been able to completely get rid of the odor, so I don't use it.
