Incredibly sharp, but incredibly uncomfortable
The media could not be loaded. Amazingly sharp scissors, but they’re so uncomfortable I can’t stand to use them. I use these scissors to cut leather nearly daily. Before I was using the Tandy Leather scissors (red) but decided to try something different since the red pair go dull so quickly. The Xacto scissors cut like a dream, but they were certainly not designed for comfort. The finger slots (technical name?) far smaller than basically any scissors I’ve ever used and there is so much discomfort for me, even with small to average female hands. The third photo shows how much pressure is being put on my fingers, which are white and pink, compared to the second photo where there is ample room for my fingers to fit comfortably. Another issue that makes the tight space even more problematic is that the scissors are so. freaking. stiff. It’s almost like the screw or whatever is holding it together in the middle is way too tight, and the blades cannot freely move unless I am literally forcing them apart. The video shows how I can almost not even open them with one hand, compared to the Tandy scissors which open and close easily.I’m not sure if I just got a bad pair, or that’s how these scissors are designed?

Relegated KitchenAid scissors to the basement. Love my new Xactos.
I first bought 2 KitchenAid scissors, (for my Kitchen.. big mistake) which turned out to not be rust proof. Yes, I get it, steel is more easily sharpened, but with the name Kitchen on the scissor, one would think the manufacturer would realize they would need to be wiped dry each and every time they were used or, they rust... a lot, and immediately. Now the KitchenAids are in my basement (They should be re-named BasementAid, ShopAid, or just RustyMess). Anyway, I replaced the KitchenAids with 2 new pair of "stainless" steel Xacto scissors which have been perfect for the past year (and still sharp). They look just like the pretty KitchenAids... but I can use them in my Kitchen!

Very stiff to operate
These cut great, however they are very stiff and require a lot of effort to operate, to the point they can hurt my hand after prolonged use. If I had discovered this sooner I would have returned them, hopefully they will loosen up with a little use.

Cuts Well, Good Quality
These scissors are great! The blades are sharp and cut a wide spectrum of materials. I had problems cutting a Naugahyde type fabric that was using to cover foam for a seat. A standard pair of good cloth scissors struggled to cut it. These scissors cut the Naugahyde like it was thin paper. I also used it on plastic window screen material. It went right through the screen material as well. I wish I would have had these years ago.

Love these
I bought these for my work about 5 months ago at Walmart and when I went back to buy another pair for my craft room they no longer carried them so Amazon is a life saver. These are great scissors!

Cuts great
It cuts great and is easy for me to hold. It is harder to cut with compared with scissors that are intended for just paper and cloth, but does make great cuts. My wife says it is a bit uncomfortable to cut with, so it remains mine to use almost exclusively. I purchased it because it appeared to not have flimsy plastic handles, and it also claimed to cut small wires. It does that well. It is a keeper!

So So
I bought these to cut through plastic (like you find with lotion/shampoo bottles) however, it still very hard work to get it to cut these. Guess I was hoping for more.

Lives up to the X-Acto name and quality.
These are very good general purpose scissors. Very sharp. I purchased them to replace multiple discount store types thatwould barely cut plastic food bags. I purchase 3 different brands to compare along with the cheap ones and this performedthe best so I purchased 2 more and got rid of the discount ones. X-Acto is a product brand I have used for 70 plus years and thesescissors live up to the name!

The beast with two blades.
What a beast! These cut through dense foam (think semi-orthotic insoles), all kinds of leather and fabrics with ease. They rival the spendy sewing shears I relied on during my fashion BFA days, but have a more rugged feeling, both in-hand and appearance-wise - they wouldn't be out of place in a toolbox, say. I have smallish hands, so they're bulky and weighty enough that I'd have to be feeling extra lazy to use them for significant paper cutting, ie unwilling to walk to the drawer to get office-type scissors. Also, the thickness of the blades (not the cutting edge, which is reliably fine and sharp) makes precision work less precise (think cutting a tag out of a garment close to the seam, as the tips don't lend themselves to nipping) than a small, thin-bladed scissor would allow. The TLDR is they do what they're made to do - cut through thick or tricky materials - exceptionally well, and sub in for standard office scissors in a pinch, but not as impressively.
