Hard to believe but..
It works! Or at least it’s working for me. I’ve been dealing with plantar fasciitis since May 2025. It has really taken a toll on me and besides the physical pain, the metal suffering of wondering if I’ll ever return to normal. I’ve spent thousands on every little tool you can buy, seen a podiatrist, had a steroid shot, Accupuncture, worn the hard boot at night, stretch , do foot exercises and have been going to PT since September. PT helped for a bit but last week the pain was really bad despite doing my exercises daily.A new PT recommended trying this sock and I figured why not. I tried the hard boot last summer but had a difficult time doing more than 20 minutes at a time because my foot would go numb. This sock is easy enough to get into that I don’t dread it and I like that I can move around on the couch more than I can with the boot. I’ve been wearing it in the evenings for about 3 nights now(not sleeping in it, just about 2-3 hours before bed) and I can’t believe how much better my pain is. I think it’s more effective because I can tolerate it for longer. I will continue wearing and hopefully increase my time. This is the most hopeful I’ve felt in a long time!!I recommend giving it a try! Compared to all the other things out there it’s pretty cost effective. The only thing to note is when I put the Velcro too tight my big toe goes numb, so I just adjust and make sure it’s in a place I can maintain for a few hours. Great tool for plantar fasciitis relief!!!

Plantar fasciitis
So I have mixed reviews with this one. This says that it fits a calf size up to a certain number mine would be under that number unfortunately I ordered the regular size and my calves were suffocating. I ended up returning here and going and finding the larger size now although they're still not comfortable because now I've got a baggy bottom they still do exactly what they need to do to help with the plantar fasciitis. So if you're looking for something to help with the pain this is totally it. Are you a regular or large you may have to test and find out

I used to be able to keep it in check with orthotics or really good, solid shoes
First, I'll say I don't normally post reviews, but this has been so "life changing'', I want to tell anyone who will listen. I'm sorry this is so long. I have had plantar fasciitis off and on for about 20 years. The pain was at times unbearable and I walked with a limp nearly all of the time.I used to be able to keep it in check with orthotics or really good, solid shoes, but it would always randomly come back and even when I felt good, I couldn't stand for long periods of time or even think about running.Recently, I decided I was done "fooling around" with it and wanted it fixed. I progressed to therapy, then 4 cortisone shots over a year, which helped for about 2-4 weeks each, then a shot of dehydrated amniotic fluid called amniofix and a walking cast for 3 weeks, which did nothing, then a newer procedure called tenex, where a needle is inserted into the tendon and vibrates so fast it gets rid of the scar tissue, blood vessels and calcification that have built up on the tendon, then 3 more weeks in a boot. Still no improvement. The doctor recommended the Strasbourg sock, which seemed so gimmicky to me, but I was willing to try anything. The 3rd night I wore this sock, my foot just felt "different" when I got up. It felt better. It felt stronger. All day. Yes, it's tight around my calf, but not so tight it really bothered me and I had no problem sleeping all night with it.After a few more nights, without realizing it, I started wearing the sock looser, with my toes straighter, rather than pulled up as far. My plantar fasciitis kicked back up and witching a few nights, it hurt like it had before I was wearing it. I finally realized what I was doing and started pulling my toes up a little tighter again. Within just 2 nights, it was gone again. It has now been 4 days pain free. The longest I've been pain free in 2 years. I feel like I am walking on air. I know it's only been 4 days, but I am so happy I wanted to share. I will continue wearing the sock for at least another week and take it with me when we go to Europe in September, just in case and I'll try to update from time to time to let you know if it's a permanent fix for me.

Really effective for PF but uncomfortable at first
I've had plantar fascitis a decade ago and I'm sorry to say it's back! The night splint sock was an effective treatment then and my old Strassburg sock needed to be replaced. The sock has been redesigned. The velcro wrap that goes around the upper leg is extra long so there is a 6" piece that just hangs down after the wrap is fastened. Are you supposed to trim this to fit? There is no mention in the instructions. It takes a while to get used to wearing the sock at night. I am a petite woman and be advised that the upper edge is very tight and it's best to position it right below the knee. The first night it slipped lower and I had a marked indentation in my leg for the next 3 hours. Not good for blood circulation! Despite all that, the Strassburg is my go-to. I tried other anle length splints that were not effective at all at keeping the foot bent rigidly.

I waked up with slight to no pain where before my first step in the morning felt like a nail was being driven into my foot
have suffered with plantar fasciitis since 2011. have tried special insoles. electro shock therapy, massage, physical therapy, multiple injections to the point I was told no more injections could be administered cause the were doing damage to my plantar. next step was surgery and that was scheduled for mid spring.I was then told by a new physical therapist about the Strassburg sock and I decided to try it since this gave me one more option before surgery. I ordered the sock on 2/2/2016 and it arrived about 5 days later. I have used it since the first day every night while I sleep. it takes some getting used to( slight toe numbness) but I adapted to it. since using slightly for over a month it has worked wonders where everything else mentioned above has failed. I waked up with slight to no pain where before my first step in the morning felt like a nail was being driven into my foot. I am retired and started another job that requires most of my day to be on my feet. before the sock I would have to ice my foot for lunch break to get some pain relief. since using the sock this has stopped and my foot does not hurt by the end of the work day.the only thing I didn't like is that this sock could use a better cinch system to fasten the sock at the D ring side as the Velcro irritates the skin. I will continue to use this sock and if this result continues as good as they are now I will cancel the surgery. I highly recommend this sock and give my greatest thanks to my physical therapist for telling me about this product. the key is not to give up, be persistent in using this product because it will be a challenge at first and I hope you all receive the similar results I have achieved with this product. I will admit at first I was skeptical since nothing else had worked but if your tired of dealing with the constant plantar pain give it a try. I hope you all achieve similar results with this product as I have because that first dreaded step of the day has been a thing of the past.

4 days later, 90% relief!
I ordered these socks upon the recommendation from a good friend of mine. He is a runner and biker and had severe Achilles heel issues. I told him about my plantar fasciatis issues (I play basketball) and how severe the pain had become. I have been experiencing pain, especially in the mornings and after workouts, to the point that I can no longer run, play basketball, or bike without severe pain.My friend used the Strassburg sock and said it relieved his pain totally in two weeks. It has been four days since I got them, and they work tremendously well. I haven't woke up with pain since day 2 and can get up out of bed and walk immediately without any discomfort. Plus my calves are not nearly as tight as they used to be. They are a incredibly simple and work extremely well.A couple important things I discovered the last four days using the socks.1. Make sure your nails are neatly trimmed. The socks are tight and tend to cram your toes together. Keeping the nails trimmed helps any discomfort from the nails digging into your toes.2. I move a lot in my sleep, and have noticed that the socks get more comfortable each night. Last night I had no discomfort at all. Moving your leg to the side while sleeping on your stomach was very helpful, and comfortable for me.3. These socks really, really work! They are amazing and I wished I would have ordered them months ago. Do yourselves a favor and if you have any heel, calf, or Achilles pain, these socks are just the ticket.

So-So....
This was the third in a series of four different night splints I have bought to help relieve the pain of plantar fasciitis in my right foot. I bought it because it was recommended to me by a friend. It cleared up her pain in just a week of wearing it.I hate that it's a long sock and that it leaves red marks, or indentations on your skin, up by your knee, even though they are temporary. It's a bit uncomfortable, which I wouldn't mind so much if it worked better for my.Although I think it did a good job stretching the tendon, I feel like when I turned on my side to sleep (I am not a back sleeper), my toes came forward, which defeated the whole purpose of this product. This is a good splint for when you are at rest, watching TV, reading a book, etc and it never caused my toes hurt or go numb like some of the other splints, but sleeping with it on wasn't that effective, for me, anyway. Also, the velcrow often sticks to the nylon part of the sock, causing little "catches" in the material, which has no effect on how the sock works, but it's just kind of annoying. If I could, I would return this product. It just work didn't that well for me, but for the person who recommended to me, she couldn't say enough good things about it. I think if you are a person who sleeps on their back all night, this sock might do the trick.I found a different splint I like much better, but it has its pros and cons too.

Works better than what the specialist gave me
I have a small 14 inch calf. Sock was so tight it cut off my circulation. I am ordering the larger size. The specialist gave me a plastic boot to wear but I couldn't sleep in it. I couldn't walk for a week and then I tried this sock and the next morning my foot only hurt a little bit.

It works
I've read the reviews and was a bit skeptical but I've used the sock and my foot pain has eased from the first day I slept with it. It's surprisingly comfortable and easy to use. I'm a short person (5 ft 1) and thought it might not fit, but it does. I didn't pull the velcro too much and didn't feel any pain in my toes as some customers did, so that was good too.
