Excellent Decaf Choice
Great, fresh, rich flavor. A healthier decaf alternative

Light roast and mild flavor.
At first, this is only slightly darker than a blond roast. The beans were not oily. They were high quality and in fact. The taste is mild and smooth. I need a low acid coffee for my husband. I will be buying more of this…I need Arabica beans and these are. If you like dark, strong coffee…this is not for you. If you like mild sweet coffee…you can’t go wrong with this. The price is reasonable for organic shade grown beans…

A French Roast richness and it is organic...
These days getting my normal French roast has been difficult because it is unavailable or way too expensive so l took a chance and tried this well crafted organic roast. A little issue with my first bag l contacted the command they immediately made it right and l am enjoying a rich cup right now! It is really hard to replace a coffee however l just did and a healthy version at that! Thank you...

BUY!
I admit it. I’m a coffee snob. It’s not the coffee’s fault: I just have a weird body chemistry that yields a distorted sense of taste. Most decaf coffee has ZERO taste to me, but this one is different. This one is the best I’ve found so far. Its aroma is inviting from the moment you open the bag. The beans are not coated with oil, so you get the full richness of the bean with each grind. There’s the faintest hint of tartness, but it’s not at all unpleasant and adds to the experience. BUY this coffee! You won’t be disappointed!

Quite A Dreamy Brew
When I opened the bag, the pungent freshly-roasted smell immediately transported me into those rare coffee bean shops that roast the beans in the store on the day you are buying them. The Mt. Whitney beans are a medium roast, and although I usually prefer a darker oily roast, the brewed coffee itself was exceptionally rich, and as deeply nuanced and well-rounded as any French Roast I've ever tasted. In short, a dream cup of coffee. Five stars. Update, a week later: My spouse told me that the cup of coffee that I reviewed above was in fact, half of the Mt. Whitney coffee beans and half of a dark French roast (caffeinated) coffee beans we had on hand. When I made coffee with the Mt. Whitney coffee beans only, it had a bit of an edge that hadn't been present in the half/half version. Still a dreamy cup, but cutting it with a darker roast was the dreamiest.

The Worst Sumatra Coffee in the World
This is the worst coffee we have ever tried in our lives, no matter how much advertising they do. For more than 30 years we have consumed Organic Sumatra coffee or Organic Sumatra Gayo Mountain, but lately the one we usually buy was out of stock , so we decided to look for a similar alternative. When we received the bag, we were surprised that it did not give off the characteristic aroma coffee has and that normally fills the room. The smell was something else—earthy, old—but not coffee. While we were grinding it, there was also none of that typical coffee-bean aroma, or anything even remotely like it. We looked at each other in disbelief. No fragrance came out of the coffee maker. The terrible part was when we tasted it: in the cup, the Organic Sumatra Gayo Mountain from Mt. Whitney Coffee & Roasters completely lacks aroma, coffee flavor, and body, and what lingers on the palate is something strange, along with the feeling that we had been ripped off. Their advertising is misleading: no cocoa, no maple, no spice, no berry. The Organic Sumatra Gayo Mountain from Mt. Whitney Coffee & Roasters is a big lie, and we are out of $80.

Smooth tastin
I wanted a decaf coffee that was organic. This was the only one that showed up. I put 3 heaping tablespoons of beans in my little coffee grinder and ran it through my french press. Very smooth taste, not bitter or harsh. In fact, I think I can drink two cups of this coffee each day. High marks !!!
