Best Value
I am an educator and I have been using Adobe products for years. However, I have not been very fond of the subscription model. Yes I understand that you always have the most up to date features but paying for the same product every year is not the best option when for many of us purchasing some of the Adobe tools could really be done on a 3 - 5 year cycle. Unfortunately even with tools like Affinity, Kofax, Gimp and so on being cheaper or free Adobe is still the easiest product on the market to use. The learning curve for the other products is to steep and time consuming. If you are a teacher or student and you need these tools this is the cheapest away to get it. If you have never used any Adobe tools I would recommend staying away from them all together and using a different tool set. Not because Adobe Creative Cloud is bad, but because once you start using Adobe tools you simply can't switch over to any other. Adobe knows this and they capitalize on it.

Adobe Products | Bloviated and Adobe Company is Greedy
I was using photoshop when the company was purchased from Macromedia, it's gone downhill since. I am using the Affinity Suite primarily now, and am not paying a subscription fee for bloviation and software licensing. Hopefully this will catch on with other companies, and they won't have to pay the fees either!

The best subscription
I have used the Adobe suite of tools since before CS4. Starting back when, some software was still Macromedia branded. I was not always a student, and used to pay the hefty price tag every couple years to get the latest and greatest of the different software. Now, with the cloud offerings, we enjoy the latest of these programs without having to purchase another major version of the software packages. The regular monthly subscription is a bit pricey, especially when I used to be able to purchase the full package for around $600 one time. Now the full price monthly subscription costs about that much just for one year. That is too much for me, so I am glad I am able to qualify for the student version at a great discount.Over the years, I have found myself using the web creation tools much less, due to the overwhelming changes in web technologies. Websites are much easier to build due to those advances, and creating sites with WordPress, or other CMS packages just require less “professional” software/developer tools to create great websites. Now, the money is better spent in professional templates, or add-ons to enhance your site, rather than learning how to code everything yourself or learn to be a designer. I feel it is becoming more cost-effective to go that route, rather than have a full suite of developer tools to create with.I find that I still cannot survive without Adobe Pro, though. Nothing really compares to it. And, for the same cost as a regular subscription to Adobe Pro, why not take advantage of the Student offer to get the entire suite?Until I am no longer eligible for the suite, I will continue to get this subscription. No reason not to!

Really Adobe, really?
Okie dokie, I tend to like Adobe programs, however they hire people whose only job is to make each and every program as difficult to use as possible, then once you figure out how to use it they go and switch everything around and move buttons, hide features and you have to relearn the whole program.Completely unnecessary. Now, as for the features you get quite a bit of amazing features, until Adobe hides them and moves them and I swear there is like one guy who is at his desk saying, “now how can I mess with people, oh yeah, let’s hide this button that EVERYONE uses, MW-Ahahahahahaha”Oh, you also have to be connected to wifi/internet to use the programs. My work had an issue where we had no access to internet and I couldn’t use any of the programs because I kept getting a “we can’t confirm your subscription, connect to the internet or shut the program down” message.Yeah, completely frustrating.Great programs and you will have a very hard time finding anything comparable, but overly complicated and constantly changing. Also know that this is a subscription based suite of programs.

Adobe subscriptions cut by Amazon 3 months early of 1 year term, no appeal option.
In my case, I lost 3 months of subscription time, because auto-renewal from 1 year of the order deletes, not extends remaining time on your Adobe subscription which is counted from activation time.Amazon does not care how long it takes you to activate your subscription with Adobe, regardless like in case of students time needed "VERIFICATION OF STUDENT/TEACHER required to activate" from the title of product and simply steals your money that are paid for a full year.So what happens if you activated month later, your Adobe account will show that you have 1 year from activation time. But Amazon has mandatory auto-renewal and if you think it will stay off as you turned off you are mistaken.Amazon will renew your Adobe subscription on the day of the order year ago and it will not extend the time you have remaining with Аdobe. It will be reset for you to lose remaining 1 month. What is even more abnormal that Amazon states "Existing subscribers must first complete current membership term before linking new subscription term" effectively violating its own warning.Very shameful practices that already has been exposed for years and no one at Amazon care.Customer Care on Amazon responded, the time of your purchase is the time your subscription begins.Subscription to what? I do not have access to Adobe software I bought for 1 year. All I have is access to Amazon purchase confirmation. Adobe customer care only sends you back to Amazon. In the chat, they told me nothing else to talk about. We go in circles and must disconnect. GOOD BYE!
