Cheyenne: The Complete Fifth Season

Best American Western ever produced
The media could not be loaded. Everyone absolutely loves the handsome, fast draw Clint Walker. According to his real life daughter, he truly was the man “Cheyenne Bodie” who he played in the TV series. Such an authentic cowboy and perfect role model for men. Clint was a kind, humble man whose daddy was born and raised in Arkansas where the men are still hot and masculine.

Different, but still excellent
I'm a new fan - I had never seen the show until I was lured in a while back by an inexpensive first-season set sitting on a shelf in a store looking innocuous, just waiting to lure innocent passers-by into a serious, expensive addiction...As someone noted, the stories in this season are more complex, and the filming seems more movie-like, too. The shows also seem darker; not that it was ever a comedy, but I missed some of the light touches of the earlier seasons, like the hilarious scene where Cheyenne carries a baby he has rescued into a bar. This season was pretty grim. The show always appealed both to children and to adults, I imagine, but it seemed as if this season they decided to focus more on the adults and set the children aside; which, since I really enjoyed the earlier shows a lot, is a shame. Still excellent, though, hence the five stars.A few complaints:I am sure that Sugarfoot and Bronco are wonderful men, of sterling character, and possibly in their own shows just filled with charisma and personality. However, they need to take their inferior theme songs and get the heck out of the opening and closing credits so I can hear the entire Cheyenne theme.Through seasons 1-4, I knew that Warner Brother produced these shows because of the bit at the beginning showing the studios with a big WB imposed over it. Apparently in season 5 WB decided that viewers were too dumb to figure that out, because suddenly we get the pompous voice announcing, twice, that this is a Warner Brothers production, accompanied by a dramatic fanfare. Also telling us who the stars are. Just grates on my nerves! And I don't much like the little introductory preview part. For some reason that pulls me out of the show instead of pulling me in.Anybody know of a list where these shows are discussed? This isn't actually the forum for it, but it would be fun!

Always a pleasure to watch some new episodes...
... But the parcel didn't come home in a good state. The device holding the DVDs was broken and the disks were scattered around the parcel, leaving one of them pretty badly scratched. I hope it's working anyway.

My Favorite Western Series - Season 5
Though I haven't viewed this Season yet, I ordered this along with Season 4 which I'm currently watching starting this weekend. I already had Seasons 1-3 and it was while watching the movie "Yellowstone Kelly" recently which made me want to get the remaining seasons of Clint Walker's classic genre creating series. I"m doing that going forward. I don't anticipate being disappointed when I do get to watch this season. If you enjoy '50's Westerns, you should, heck, you probably already have Cheyenne in your collection, and for those who are new to this genre, I advise you start with Cheyenne, move to Wanted: Dead or Alive, hire Have Gun Will Travel, roundup Rawhide, stand tall with The Rifleman and spread out on Bonanza,. Then the rest will come alive for you as well. Wagon Train, Maverick, Bat Masterson, Laramie, The Dakotas, The Texan, Tombstone Territory, The Deputy, Wild, Wild West.... That's all I can think of off the top at the moment. Good luck and good viewing.

THE SHOW HAS SCRUPLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The BIG GUY's Back & even more clearer than ever!!!! For Christmas I received a Sony 65" Flat screen TV, so Clint is even BIGGER THAN EVER. I've always liked Cheyenne 'cause he has scruples and he stuck by them, which is "VERY RARE" IN Hollywood in his day and even more so today. I've tried to live by what I was taught by my Widowed Mother, even though I occasionally slipped from that track, I would manage to put myself back on an "even keel" and get back to what's right & wrong, since I didn't have a dad when I was growing up in the mid-50's & 60's I'd ALWAYS try to remember what Cheyenne would do in a situation like that, then try and do them YES BOYS & GIRLS, MEN & WOMEN, The Show HAS SCRUPLES, & Clint will teach you what's right & wrong. In the "Real World" Clint Walker is a Devout Christian Man who attends Sunday School & Church, BUT, HE'S ONLY HUMAN and being human he & the rest of the world will "Occasionally" slip up, and when he does "HE ADMIT'S IT" & TRIES TO RIGHT THE WRONG THAT HE'S CAUSED, shouldn't we all do the same?

I had a slight problem with receiving my order, and the company was great with helping and making sure the video arrived. Anna did a great job with following up with things. I would recommend this company to others for good services and quality merchandise.

CHEYENNE FIFTH SEASON
THIS IS REGION 1 ONLYI LOVE ALL THE OLD TV WESTERN SERIES, THE PICTURE IS CRISP AND THE SOUND IS VERY GOOD TOO.WATCHING THESE WESTERN SERIES IT TAKES ME BACK TO MY CHILDHOOD WHEN I USED TO WATCH THEM ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON OR TEA TIME. THEY SHOULD REPEAT THESE SERIES ON TV AGAIN THESE WERE MUCH BETTER SERIES THAN WHAT YOU GET NOW. THEY JUST DON'T SEEM TO BE ABLE TO MAKE GOOD WESTERN TV SERIES TODAY, IN COMPARISSON WHATS MADE TODAY IS RUBBISH THERE IS NOW OTHER WORD FOR IT.IN THE FIFTH SEASON CHEYENNE COMES ACROSS THE SAME GOOD VS BAD, BUT THIS SEASON ITS RAW AND BETTER THE THE PREVIOUS. THERE'S A COUPLE OF EPISODES ABOUT THE LITTLE BIG HORN ARE QUITE GOOD, I SAY NO MORE WATCH IT AND FIND OUT FOR YOUR SELF.SEE YEH PARDNER

What shall I say, Cheyenne interested me long before I had a chance to find this series and enjoy it. It so happened that in 1958 there werethe beginning of a comicbookseries 24 issues i all, a large part of them was Cheyenne. In addition other westernstories, Zane Grey, Bronco, Tonto, and Indianstories. These comics still means a lot to me, and so does Cheyenne.

cheyenne the complete third season
Another great season in the Cheyenne series. I watched this as a child and loved it then. In my eyes Clint Walker is a gentle giant of a man [apparently so in real life] A great actor, with good looks too! Easy watch westerns with plenty of 'baddies' and our hero surmounting all odds, not the gory stuff of today. Buy it you wont be disappointed.
