POLLAK11-896 7-Way Power Outlet Adapter

Works great to power a AC/DC portable fridge in my truck bed when going camping.

I like the concept of this item. Unfortunately, when it didn’t work on my F-150 with the Max Tow Package, a bit of research resulted in finding out that while the turn signal/running lights/stop lights pins in the 7-pin connector are live when the ignition is in the accessory position or the vehicle is running, Ford computer code does not energize the 12 volt Aux line until it “senses” a trailer is connected. I am old enough to remember when Ford’s advertising slogan was “Ford has a better idea.” In this case, I would disagree. I had to install a waterproof 12 volt outlet in the bed of the truck because of Ford’s “engineering.”

It works on my 24 Duramax which has constant 12v at the outlet

It fits snugly into the trailer socket and gives me a reliable 12v power source by the tailgate. I'm planning on hooking up a small solar panel and solar charger to keep the battery topped off when the truck isn't in use.

Looked like a good product but my truck was uncooperative. I had to return it.

I tried it on multiple 7 pins connections and on multiple vehicles…no power.

This product works perfectly. I plugged it in, then plugged my small power inverter into the device, then my Christmas tree lights up. Exactly as intended.

I bought this with the intent to power a diesel heater for my overlander tent from the fifth wheel outlet in my bed. I haven’t had a chance to use the heater, but I can verify the fit and wiring work. Quality of manufacture looks great.
