When I was about 10 or 12 back in the early 1960s this exact model came out for the first time and I did not paint it as I had no experience and the paints were the spray can kind that were really smelly. I now paint all of my models since I have about 50+ years of experience. So depending on the experience and the paint that you have, I would consider painting it.
