They lasted the whole time I had them (about three years). Sadly I had to take them down because I was moving and they did rip the paint, very minimally though. They worked perfect that whole time I had them.

some of the lights of the strip did not work. i thought it was the way the strip was when I was setting it up but it wasn't that. i would have just returned it but it took me a while to set up since they didn't want to stick on the wall. led light strips seem to be a hit or miss! update: The company reached out to me and offered me a new unit, which was nice of them. This new unit worked as expected, my only complaint is the back sticking is not sticky regardless of me peeling the back off correctly. They include some nice tape sections that help hold up the lights which is nice. The remote also needs to be pushed multiple times before it works which can be tedious at times. Other than that the lights are nice. Thanks again for the new unit!

I purchased 4 of these for both of my sons to use in their bedrooms. The instructions were very easy to follow and the installation was simple. You have the option of using the included adhesive holders (about 10 of them) or you can peel the back off of the LED strip and use that. One of the light sets didn’t work due to the plug in transformer being defective. I was able to return it quickly via Amazon’s return service and received the replacement within a few days. The replacement ended up having a short near where the wires connect so the colors wouldn’t change to Red. This time I reached out to the seller and they sent out a replacement which arrived in 2 days. They did request I send a video of the problem, which I did. I worked with Lisa who was helpful.

They stick to the wall with no problem. If you make sure to ONLY peel the backing off and not the whole sticky tape... (feels like I shouldn’t need to say that but...). Wipe the surface clean with alcohol and then allow it to dry. (I don’t mean the drinking kind..). I purchased two different brands, one came with connectors, this one did not. You can purchase connectors separately. (Easy to do a search...). The remote for both (even different brands) work for both. (Beware they may also go on or off using a tv remote etc.) As long as you snip them where the copper line is, you can use the connector (purchased separately) and splice them. My first time splicing I had to stretch the prongs on the adapter because it would not allow the wire strip to go under the prongs. Other than that... I love these lights!

These are awesome and perfect for what I had in mind. I was using battery operated fairy lights and command hooks to light up my corner hutch. Replacing the batteries every month and the command hooks falling had me going crazy, I wanted something brighter, stronger adhesion, and with A/C power (not battery). BAM, they came out with these LED light strips, and all my dreams came through. I drilled holes and fed the strip through all the way around the inside, cut the excess off (ordered 16ft, cut off about 12in). The remote works through the glass so I can turn on/off whenever, change the color, and not have to maneuver around my kitchen table to open the door to do it. I'll stick to just white at some point for the lighting affect in the hutch, but for now all the different colors are cool!

The lights over all are great if you are looking for something to brighten your living space and for cheap!! I use this as background light in the living room at night and it's awesome! You can change to many different colors and settings. The cons of this product is the TV remote interfering every time you change the channel or turn up the volume etc... That part gets annoying because you have to keep changing it back but if it doesn't bother you then you'll be fine! The other con is when you go to remove the lights it peels the paint off your wall, so definitely be mindful of the adhesive! Other than that it's pretty much as the description says and it's a solid item to have that everyone will love!!
