Become the "King of the Nerds" at work!
I worked at a company where they gave you a bunch of small, yet vital, tools such as pens, tweezers, inspection mirrors, etc to use which had a habit of falling out of your smock pocket/leaking/etc. People constantly had issues with removing all of these things from their pockets at break, end of shift, and such because they'd get easily dropped, roll under machines, and such...Being a bit of an old school nerd I thought to myself "Why not get a pocket protector to keep all of this stuff tidy and simplify things?" and, of course, my first stop was Amazon! At first I found the options to be either flimsy looking plastic ones that weren't really suitable or hand crafted custom leather ones that cost more than I could justify for my little 'project', but I soon found these babies. These pocket protectors are better built than the cheap heat-welded plastic jobbers but not insanely overbuilt like the 'artisan' handmade leather ones, with a fairly durable 'pleather' construction that's proven to be fairly durable. There's a clear plastic inner strip that serves as an inner hanging 'bar' which turned out to be very useful for keeping tweezers, probes, and the like in a separate 'tier' from items such as pens or pencils.I put my miscellaneous gear into the protector, slid it into my smock pocket, and almost immediately got compliments from my co-workers, who instantly recognized the merits of using a pocket protector for those annoyingly hard to wrangle but essential items. At the end of the day it was super easy to slip it out, with all the gear in tow, and place it into the locker so I could slink out the door just a bit faster, which was a massive benefit IMHO.If you've got a bunch of things you have to have, which are pocket-sized, and which need to be wrangled up into a neat, presentable 'unit' that you can slip into (or out of) your shirt pocket this helps immensely. You can keep the extra(s) for spares or, if you actually have co-workers that you like, give it to them!

Looks nice. You get what you pay for.
These have held up fairly well in a laboratory setting for several months. The back two pieces are starting to peel apart from each other, but I can just glue them back in place. They look nice, and they're cheap

Perfect for my needs
These are just right for what I wanted. They're a polyurethane faux leather of course, but that makes them light, affordable and easy to wipe clean. They actually look pretty handsome.I work in a shipping warehouse and my logistics duties often require me to take notes, label things, and sign documents so I keep an assortment of pens and markers in my safety vest. I have one of these in each of my chest pockets.I'm required to wear the company vest so I can't choose my own. I'm on the go a lot, lifting, bending and moving quickly in a busy environment so it's easy to lose things. When they changed the company vest to one of a more slippery material without pen loop pockets, I started looking for solutions after losing a few pens. I'm particular about what I write with because the office-issued Bic sticks don't cover situations where I need a multi-pen for color-coding line assignments, a pressurized pen for writing in cold temps or at odd angles, a ballpoint for filling out glossy hazmat labels, or a gel pen for putting down a dark, bold line that can be read from a distance.I got these pocket protectors for their unique design, and they're prefect for anyone who works "in the field" as it were. The clear plastic strip inside keeps my pen clips securely attached so I don't lose them when I bend over and the clip attachment slots are a brilliant touch. I use the lower one for a retractable badge lanyard and the upper ones attached with carabiners to the radio loops on my vest so that when they sometimes get jostled out of the slippery pockets, the pocket protector stays attached to my vest and my pens stay where they're supposed to.These perfectly solved a problem for me and have held up well to the daily abuse of the hard environment I work in. I would definitely buy them again.

Essential piece of our edc sketch kits
Hubby and I each use one for our edc sketch kits. Very handy for 4 pens and a waterbrush, or 5 pens if you don't use water media. The front flap thing is nice for tucking a folded paper towel under, for dabbing the brush. Wish there was a handy way to hold a mini watercolor palette too, but oh well. We each chose a different style of bag, his goes on his belt, mine is a tiny shoulder bag, both only big enough for a very small sketchbook plus the pocket protector, and a tiny watercolor palette, and maybe a phone or pair of glasses. The best sketch kit is the one you'll actually carry!

Sturdy & useful
Its serving its purpose - protecting my uniform from inks and sharp scissors. Right size for pockets in scrubs. Looks sturdy.

Saves my shirts from constant pen/marker abuse.
I like it. I work on a loading dock and am constantly using my pens and markers. This saves mt shirts from this abuse. This protector seems pretty rugged to use.
