Samsonite Tour Deluxe Golf Hard Case Travel Bag

My search is finally over. I researched and read tons of reviews before purchasing a travel bag. I just received it and I am extremely happy with this bag. What surprised me is how sturdy yet light it is - not like cheap "dentable" or "crackable" plastic. My golf bag is heavy as it is so I like that this travel bag is light weight and not bulky. I got the silver and it has a nice gunmetal textured look to it. I have a 10 in. stand bag and a 46" long driver and it fits like a charm. I can just throw my bag in and zip it up. I don't have to separate my shoes and pouches just to make everything fit it in the bag. The interior is lined with a quality (not cheap/thin) padded red lining. There are also 2 thick straps with plastic buckles to secure your bag. There is no chance for your clubs to get scratched in here. There are 4 X 360 degree wheels on the bottom so the bag stands up easily and can be pushed with 1 finger without fear of it toppling over while upright. Prior to purchasing, I was skeptical about the bag being secured with only a zipper, but this is a very strong/well constructed zipper and it would take a whole lot of effort to be pried open. It comes with a small lock and 2 keys. The lock does not say TSA on it. I may purchase a combo lock simply because I'll likely lose the keys. The hardware and construction of this bag is definitely quality. I can be confident my set won't get damaged. Also, excellent shipping experience - I received it a day before it was promised. Love this bag!

This bag is great for protecting your clubs, which is obviously the most important aspect of a club bag. I was able to put a number of other items in the bag with my clubs. Wheels work great, bag stands upright no problems and rolls great upright. The only downside I could see is how easily the bag scratches during transport. Both my bag and the other guy with the same bag had our bags look like they had been through war after the first flight. Another guy with another brand of hard plastic bag like ours still looked pretty good. But, if you don't care what the outside of your bag looks like, this is a great bag for traveling.

Bought this at a sale price online. Good value for the money from a manufacturer of quality luggage. It's lightweight, not as heavy as some of the round hard plastic cases. It survived its first direct US flight roundtrip with only one minor gouge, nothing significant. For the occasional domestic golfer it's a great choice. I'd opt for something more substantial if I was traveling 15 or more times a year and to exotic golf venues outside of the US or with multiple bag handling stops. It is long; I had to change rental cars twice and ended up with a minivan in order to get it to fit. Even then a part of the back seat had to be folded down to fit inside the vehicle.

I really liked this case and have been eye balling it for quite some time. Looks good and is a bit roomier than my current cheap case. The case fits my fully loaded stand bag with some room to spare. I can definitely keep my shoes and maybe a couple dozen balls in the case. Zippers seem sturdy and the plastic is a lot harder than I originally thought which is nice. There't not much give on the plastic so it's pretty hard. When fully loaded up, the balance on the case gets thrown off so it's difficult to just push the case around upright. It will tip over essentially so just be aware of that. There are numerous complaints about this case not being durable so I can't comment on this unfortunately. I'm REALLY hoping this thing stands up to airline travel but only time will tell. My current travel case only survives because I the case bound together with straps. Hoping I don't have to do it with this case. I did purchase this from the Amazon Warehouse as the price was too good to pass up. I got the Used - Very Good condition and I'm really impressed with it. The case came in its original box put inside a larger box. Box condition was negligible so no issue there. The only issue I found with the case was some faint scratch marks and sticker glue. Condition wise, really impressed with the overall quality of the "used" case and can't beat it for the price.

I love my blue Samsonite golf travel case, I used it for a different purpose than what it’s intended, and it worked perfectly. I use this case to travel with three Video tripods three and manfrotto light stands and three softbox light modifiers all the way to Switzerland! It weighed 70lbs by the time it got through airport security. Not does this travel case look amazing it also kept everything safe and still smoothly rolled its wheels all the way back home to California. Highly recommend and as a personal touch I recommend the blue!!!

The casters (wheels) are too fragile for airlines. We bought two of these; one lost a wheel on the fourth trip, the other probably wont last the next trip. The case can still be used since it has a second set of wheels, but that requires holding the case by top and pulling it; it will no longer free stand once one of the spinning casters is broken off. The case itself is very nice, but the casters are a major letdown.

I received this travel case a day early, fit and finish is excellent (as I would expect from a reputable company like Samsonite). After some initial concern about this case being able to hold my full bag with clubs, not having to take out the driver etc. I was pleasantly surprised at the spacious interior. My full bag with my cleats, 24 balls, tees, irons, FW woods, Driver etc. fit with plenty of room to spare. As a matter of fact, I believe that you would still have room to add an additional two full cases of balls (24) as well as clothing etc. This main issue will become staying under weight for airline check in. The hard sides are light weight yet seem very durable with minimal deflection when you put your weight against it, the lack of latches is a non issue because I believe the flexibility the zipper provides will allow the case to flex and move when tossed in a luggage compartment and avoid breaking. The zipper is heavy duty and I don't for see any problems with that. The wheels do stick out and cannot be removed, so that may be a weak point in the future, however, initially they seem to be very sturdy. My initial review is that this case is well worth the money to protect your considerable investment in golf equipment and travel worry free. I haven't traveled with the case yet so I will update this review next week after my first full trip with it.

I highly recommend this case. I had tried a soft case that required heavy packing and that required me to carry it around. I got this hard case because it had spinner wheels like my suitcase, and felt safer than the soft option. On our first trip with it, I pick it up from the oversized luggage area after landing.... and the handle is ripped off, and the top of the case is worn down. It had fallen off the luggage trailer and was dragged the whole way to baggage claim. I was disappointed with the airline for damaging my brand new case, but the interior remained brand new! The golf clubs and everything else inside were perfect. This was exactly why I bought this. The airline took care of me and paid me for the replacement. I immediately re-ordered the same case here and knew I had to leave my five-star review. One note for any buyer - yes it has spinners. But this is a five foot tall case sitting on a base that’s maybe 10”x18”. If you hit a crack, a bump, or any other obstacle, this will tip over if you’re not careful. Unavoidable. But, like any spinner, it also pulls behind you on 2 wheels very smoothly. Seriously, buy this case. I did - twice. And would do it again if the airlines mess it up!

Really like this case. It’s very light and the space to put shoes and other golf accessories is perfect.

On the 1st trip one of the 4 wheels came off. The seller offered a partial refund which is not at all acceptable given the cost. I have made contact with samsonite but not yet had anything back from them.
