Large Head + Cutting The Grass + Cycling + Glasses = UGH!
I originally purchased this for cycling. I got tired of pouring the sweat from my lenses and having water spots on them! The superwide band if far more effective than the original due to it's increased coverage, and the band on the inside that directs sweat away from the eyes is placed perfectly. It fits under my ball caps, hiking hats, full face helmets, and cycling helmets very comfortably. I really forget that it's there. If you wring it out on those humid 100 degree days, it can be put back on and acts as if it were bone dry. Speaking of dry.. it dries out quickly and doesn't stink! My only gripe that prevented a 5 star review is that my head is kind of on the large side, so I wish there were an extra two inch on each side to tie it off. Still, it's doable and comfortable. Speaking of big heads, this is an awesome option compared to the Halo II that isn't adjustable. It would give me a headache after a while due to being a bit too snug.

Less sweat in my eyes when cycling.
So far I'd say this was a solid purchase. Upside is that it reduces the sweat that gets into my eyes in the summer when I sweat a lot on a ride. It's comfortable too.Downside for cycling could be that it's a bit more noticeable than I would like it to be when I have a helmet on even in the front. It will also leave a crease on your forehead post ride. Can't really complain because, hey, what options do you really have anyway.I THINK the yellow rubber band that is suppose to drain sweat away from the forehead off to the side works. Pretty sure. I do believe you need to have the the rubber band exposed outside of the helmet so it can drain properly. For $12 (I think that's what I paid), it seems like a good value. Sure a bandana is like 25% the price and I'm still trying to see how much better the Halo is but right now I'm thinking it's much better on real hot days.

A great solution for hard working, hard sweating guys!
Some guys sweat more than others when working hard. For guys like me, who can soak a cotton baseball cap in about 15 minutes of work, the Superwide Halo is a godsend: it keeps the sweat off of my face and out of my eyes, keeps me much cooler than a hat, keeps me feeling much dryer than a cap, and dries itself out very well during use.I also own the original version of the Halo (which I originally purchased for mountain-biking), but found that after extended use (30+ minutes), it would get soaked and would start to drip... no big deal, as you can just wring it out and put it back on, but I decided to try the Superwide... I'm glad I did. the wider band really does a good job of drying itself out without having to wring it out.If you go with the Black one, it looks a lot less like you are trying to dress like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (my original Halo is Red and it seemed to elicit a lot more comments than this black one!)Buy one, you won't regret it!

Works as advertised
I live in southwest Florida and try to run in the early morning. Prior to purchasing the Halo, I was either carrying a towel to constantly wipe the sweat (to keep it out of my eyes) or wearing a running hat. Neither of these options worked as well as the Halo. Once I got past the thought of running down my street in a headband, I found I didn't have to wipe any sweat off my forehead until well into my run. The Halo does channel the majority of sweat away from your eyes until it gets saturated. Once that happens, I do have to wipe my brow from time to time, but no where near the amount of time that I had to before. I would not attempt a run without it. As a bonus, it fits great under my bike helmet for my bike rides.

Best headband period!
Best headband bar none - I play a lot of racquetball and it’s the best I’ve tried and I’ve tried many , no sweat in eyes and it channels the sweat to the back of your head which helps to keep your eyewear from fogging . This wide one works better than the original halo 1 which is not as wide , it’s ok but doesn’t hold as much sweat . It says handwash the product but I’ve been washing mine in washing machine for years and they hold up fine .. btw . If using near water or water sports . They do NOT float .

Keeps my ears warm and looks cool
My ears get very cold very easily while working out in almost any temperature. I wanted a good quality wide headband that would cover my ears and absorb sweat. I also needed one that wouldn't make my ears cold once the headband was soaked with sweat. This one does the job very well. I like the ties and adjustability. The advertised antibacterial properties seem legit as well. It doesn't get smelly as quickly as other headbands between washings. I bought it in white and black. The white has not gotten any stains after a few weeks of use (which I had worried about). I recommend wringing it out with water immediately after use unless you are going to wash it before it dries out.

wonderful invention. As a heavy sweater
I cannot play tennis without this simple, wonderful invention. As a heavy sweater, I'd become accustomed to enduring the thickest (and hottest) of terry cloth headbands to control sweat going into my eyes. The guttering effect of this headband is amazing! Without even noticing it, my sweat is now streaming down the sides of my head. Sure the headband eventually gets drenched itself, but the sweat still does not bother me anymore in the least. I thought I'd have to actually knot this headband, but NO. You can tie it in a half knot (just twisting the ends afterward in opposite directions), and it stays in place without ANY problem. Now, I'm done with this review to buy some in different colors.

Holds the sweat. Works for big heads.
I bought this for two reasons... To keep the sun off my forehead when on a noon time bike training ride and to hold the sweat from my workouts. I'm a redhead, so sun damage to my forehead is a problem. This protects my forehead. When I ride on a trainer indoors, I would be constantly wiping my face to keep the sweat out of my eyes. I ride hard for 45 minutes, so I am normally dripping from my head at about a drop a second. With this headband, it collected all of the sweat from my head. Of course, my face still drips, but at least the sweat wasn't running into my eyes. Also, I have a big head (7 7/8) and this headband fits fine.

Maurizio

I was hoping this would help with sweat getting into ...
I was hoping this would help with sweat getting into my eyes during training. It's helped a little bit, but turns out it's the eyebrows that are sweating and this doesn't help that. Probably would help if you're a head sweater.
