My Arcade Galaga Pocket Player: Portable Game Console: 3 Built in Games

I love the fact that this can run with batteries or be plugged in and played. It doesn’t not come with a cord for plug and play but I’m sure most would have one laying around somewhere as it is a very common cord. It’s nostalgic for the adults and a time passer for the kiddos. Great buy! Update: we’re still using the same set of batteries from January! Love it!

Excellent pocket portable game console. A must for players who enjoy Galaxian and Galaga....

I couldn't wait to play this , got it n at times it lags firing in the game. Makes it fustrating to play. I returned it. It would be a awesome game if it wasn't for the delay in fireing.

All three games look and sound great. You can’t beat it for the price.

This thing is so worth it! Delivery was perfect and on time. The game is amazing. I love it! I’ve ran through an eight pack of Duracell already so I’m using the usb now. One thing I should mention is I read that it took AA batteries, but it takes AAA. Will be purchasing Pac-Man next!

My dad LOVES this arcade game, so when I saw they made a hand held version of it, I knew I needed to get it for him. My mom says he plays it constantly at home since I’ve given it to him.

Love this handheld! Plays just like the original. Those that have complained about only being able to fire two shoots at a time, have never played the original. As a child growing up in the 80's, I remember playing this game in the arcades/skating rinks/bowling alleys/etc. I used to hang out at the arcade near my home everyday after school and on the weekends, and Galaga was one of my favorites. This pocket player does not disappoint!

Bought this for a gift for my son, love the portability and hint of nostalgia. Great product!

Der My Arcade Pocket Player sieht hübsch aus und hebt sich aufgrund der knalligen Hauptfarbe (hier in grün), sowie den themenbezogenen Aufdrucken in den Ecken links oben/rechts unten und der beiden ansehnlichen Feuertasten von dem Einheitsbrei an Mini-Handhelds deutlich ab. Die grüne Version beinhaltet die drei Klassiker Galaga (das ist die Fortsetzung von Galaxian! Namco, 1981), Galaxian (Namco, 1979) und Xevious (Namco, 1982). Alle drei sind echte Spielhallen-Klassiker ;) Das sichtbare Display ist in der Diagonale wie angegeben 6,9cm groß. Aber: Es spiegelt extrem, da reicht schon die Deckenbeleuchtung, geschweige denn Sonnenlicht! Siehe dazu eins der beigefügten Bilder. Das Gerät besteht vollständig aus Kunststoff und wiegt ohne Batterien 99 Gramm, ist also sehr leicht. Es klappert oder wackelt auch nichts daran. Eine CE-Kennzeichnung befindet sich in den Batterie-Fächern, deren Abdeckungen sich mit etwas Übung recht einfach lösen und wieder anbringen lassen. Wer den Pocket Player unterwegs verwenden möchte, benötigt 4 x AAA Batterien. Zusätzlich lässt sich das Gerät stationär (sprich: zu Hause/am Arbeitsplatz) über ein Mikro USB-Kabel betreiben, welches - wie die Batterien - nicht beiliegt. Für den Preis von derzeit 34 Euro hätte ich zumindest einen fest verbauten, aufladbaren Akku erwartet. Man kann den Pocket Player also nur kabelgebunden oder mit Batterien nutzen. Wer möchte kann außerdem einen Kopfhörer per Klinke anschließen, oder aber den Sound auch komfortabel über die rechte Schultertaste lauter/leiser oder auch ganz aus schalten. Übrigens: Es gibt eine Dauerfeuerfunktion...einfach A oder B gedrückt halten. Ja, das ist mir auch erst später aufgefallen ;P Okay... Insgesamt finde ich diesen Pocket Player noch gut, aber deutlich zu teuer für nur drei (!) über 40 Jahre alte Spiele (die man zudem auch am Handy emulieren kann). Punktabzug gibt es von mir für den fehlenden Akku. Es ist für mich einfach nicht mehr zeitgemäß, Batterien verpflichtend zu verlangen, um mit solch einem Gerät mobil sein zu können (wofür ein "Pocket Player" ja eigentlich auch gedacht ist). Und ein entspiegeltes Display wäre definitiv ebenfalls wünschenswert, sollte es eine Neuauflage dieser Pocket Player geben.

Solid little console. Good representation of the 3 games offered.. pity there is no way to add more titles. Comfortable to hold.. takes rechargeable batteries or usb c. Would recommend for nostalgia.
