I've never owned anything like that, but use them (10s or 11s) successfully on several different acoustic guitars. They are quiet compared to round wound strings, or even the flat wound elixirs, but you don't screech all around the neck at all. These strings sound "different" from typical acoustic strings, not as bright and not as loud, so I put them on my acoustic guitar to give them a whirl and I instantly thought I should take them off. My fingers feel happy after playing and I have found new sounds that only these strings can produce on my acoustic.
