Updated September 2020!Picked up this book again in order to learn FreeCAD. And this book helped immensely! One thing to look at the drawings in the book, and an entirely different thing to really take a shot at one especially if you are learning something new.Attached is an extract of some of the exercises I was able to complete successfully. Glad that I did!It's a nice book. Has many challenges laid out for you to hone your skills at CAD.However, I was hoping that there would be a few exercises on cog and belt or sprocket and chain drawings. These are easier said than done, and having an exercise would definitely help in this area of design .

Book has nothing but engineering drawings, so if you are a student drafter or engineer it is great, but doesn't help you if you are just starting out with 3D printing. You need a high-end CAD program to use the information in this book. Had it included links to STL files for the drawing that would have been AMAZINGLY useful to the new 3D beginner? Would give you a starting point on a variety of objects.

I don't think the description does a great job of describing what this book is, so I'll spell it out: it's 200 example objects that one can attempt to recreate in their 3D design program of choice. There's no detailed instructions, it's not specific to any program, and it's geared towards people who have familiarity with their program. It'll help hone your skills, but it won't break any bad habits you may have, and it won't necessarily teach you the most efficient way to use your program.

There's not a whole lot of fluff in here. It's 200 3-view drawings with dimensions. If you're learning Fusion 360 like I am, this book will definitely help you practice creating parts in 3D. It has helped me speed up drawing creation time and become much more familiar with my program.

Good book for practice, would have been better if it had some written pages as reminders for people that do not use CAD a lot. Example would be, EX-04, draw circles and extrude or revolve around an axis.

In terms of content it's decent enough; a bunch of schematics with dimensions missing for following along with and completing in a CAD program. There's quite a bit if similar design repetition though.Ignore the 3D Printing title; the author has a scam going on where the exact same two ebooks (200 Practice Drawings and Assembly Practice Drawings) are rereleased with exactly the same material under 3D Printing Projects/Autocad Projects/Fusion 360 Projects etc. Pretty scummy and I've knocked stars off for that

I bought this for my nephew who has a 3D printer and he was very excited to try out the ideas and suggestions
