Hawke Frontier HD X 10x32 Binocular- Grey

I initially purchased the ED X model, but sent it back due to the purple/green fringing I was seeing. I got these instead, and while the fringing is slightly worse than the ED X models, I don't think the price increase was worth it. The binoculars are well packaged, and I like the case it comes with. The lens caps are not the best - they barely stay in, but better than nothing. The magnesium body makes them feel really premium - these should last a long time.I tried the 8x42's which are probably better for general use, but I went with the 8x32's as these will be used mostly for travelling.

Excellent bins for the money. Well built although on the heavy side. Caps could stay in a little tighter but over all build quality is top drawer. Clarity and brightness is amazing. Looking at things even in the foreground shows more clarity than with the naked eye. The ED are only a little better than the HD, but whether they are worth the extra money is subject to debate. It’s always the case the further up the quality tree you go; the extra premium cost exponentially increases for the smallest of improvements in quality. Highly recommended.

Only the second pair of binoculars I have ever purchased and used. The previous pair were around £30, I thought they were quite good, well, I got these and I was blown away with the razor sharp imaging the render. I don't have other more expensive to compare, however I do photography and have high end gear Nikon D4s and 300mm f2.8 VR2, and these are high quality. These binoculars will be a fantastic accompaniment to my photographic endeavours.Buy them, you won't regret it...FAB

From 50% away from the sharp centre the view becomes quickly very blurred indeed. Both left and right occulars are the same, so it wasn't a fault with one or the other of them. The blurring was so bad it made me feel nauseous - actually physically sick! this has never happened with any other binocular I've used.The strap lugs are sharp, hard, and dig into you hands - worse than any other binocular I own or have tried.The eye-cups retract back too easily.With all these faults I can't then forgive their weight.The very blurred view though just makes these binoculars a non-starter, not sure how they ever got into production. Totally put me off ever buying Hawke products again, and I wanted to as they are designed near me in the UK.Avoid.

I was apprehensive due to the cost . But these are great value for money and the glass is quality.

Loved these bins. I ordered 5 pairs Of sub £300 to compare and although these were equal most expensive they did come out tops. Focus wheel is effortless, clarity superb and no digging which is great at night.

Don't know what to say apart from they are awesome. Replaced my old 10x50 of 20years and can't believe quality, why did I wait so long.

clarity, detail and focus very comparable to binos at twice the price.

So smooth in focus and adjustments. Great feel albeit a little heavy. Decent field of view but didn’t seem accurate with specs. Fuzzy edges and kidney beaning made me just day no.

this the 2nd unit i bought, 1st unit is perfect!but this unit is defective, lens cannot focus well...we tried product support recommendations, but still cannot focus well!
