Cora Reilly is the Mafia Romance Queen
I’m so glad to be thrust back into this world, so glad, that I have finished this book within hours of receiving it. I’ve missed these characters so dearly, and am a little in love with the new ones. Fabi is no longer the little kid we knew from Bound by Honor, he is cold and calculating (not to mention incredibly sexy in such a dominant way). Fabiano is entertaining and occasionally made me blush, he’s no longer weak, but strong, cocky, and so incredibly badass. We see him go from this innocent little boy who sticks up for his sisters, to this unfeeling killer. Fabi’s character development in this story is inspiring, to see his change of heart and the sacrifices he makes. We get a little taste of the past and a little scene from some of our favs such as Luca, Aria, and Growl (God have I missed them), and then we also see Fabi’s past on why he isn’t apart of the Outfit anymore. Fabi teams up with the new Capo of Las Vegas—Remo. I actually loved Remo, his character was very interesting to read and would definitely love to read more about him, in per se his own book? Leona is a new character who just moves to Las Vegas, while she is naive and knows nothing about the mob activity going on, she also had a hard life growing up. Her mother an addict and prostitute, her father without a doubt does not care for her. Her story is unique and interesting and the innocence that radiates off of her is refreshing and tantalizing—especially during the innocent scenes with Fabi, and the not-so-innocent scenes with Fabi. My heart broke for Leona constantly when her father would take her money and use it for his own selfish needs. Reilly does an amazing job putting you into the characters mindset and feeling exactly what they are going through. Leona is weak, but also such a strong person for having endured everything she has. Now for the most important evaluation; the smut! It is hot, erotic, intense, and heart-stopping. Cora Reilly is a goddess of smut! The intimacy scenes are not rushed at all which leaves you in anticipation for them to well...get it on. The romance is a slow build until your heart is bursting and you’re suddenly protesting and yelling at the book for them to do it already. Although this is a romance book, it is so much more than smut, it has a great plot and climax (literally and figuratively), and the backstories and build of characters make the setting and story line the stars of the show. As many mafia books I may read Cora Reilly will always be number 1, her writing style is amazing and her research into the Italian mafia and terms makes for an enjoyable and believable read. She will always be one of my favorites too for the characters—especially the sexy alpha males. The ending was severe with violence and curiosity of what exactly was going to happen. Of course, it also leaves the reader wanting more! More of Fabi! And more importantly more of Luca and Aria! Tensions have not died down between Las Vegas, NY or Chicago, and I’m anxious to see what Reilly has in store for us next. Much deserved 5 star rating!

MMA and mafia mix
I am always up for a mafia read, and the Camorra Chronicles caught my eye, so I dived right in. This one is a little dark and dangerous, but not overly complicated in its plot. It did have several intriguing characters so I’m interested to see where Cora takes her Vegas mafia crew. This series is interconnected with some of her other series which I find gives breadth to a story and more to read! Fortunately for me, I don’t mind reading series out of order. Fabiano, the Enforcer for the Camorra mafia, stumbles upon Leona in the wrong part of town for an innocent girl with only a few street smarts. She’s in Vegas, looking for a job and trying to make a fresh start away from her problematic mom. Unfortunately for Leona, her father isn’t much better and she is quickly swept up in his betrayals and lies. He owes the Camorra and they own Vegas. Fabiano is immediately intrigued by Leona and quickly claims her as his own, but as events unfold, their relationship puts strain on his place in the Camorra and the security she needs to finally quit struggling to survive. This story had a lot of potential for some serious plot elements, but ultimately these didn’t get explored. Maybe they come down the line in the series. Fabiano’s connections to two rival organizations across the country are explained but don’t really play much of a role in the larger action of this book besides being his background story. The MMA fighting was an intriguing addition to the story, but the role of it in the ending seemed a little counterintuitive for a mafia hierarchy. Overall, I really enjoyed the read and the romance between the two characters, but would have liked it better had the plot gotten twisted up with some of the larger plot elements that haven’t yet been explored. I’m interested to see what comes down the line for this series.

Why do I love mafia books so much?
I love mafia romance. This one is pretty tame considering it’s about the enforcer. I thought it would be much darker and grittier and dirtier. I loved the story though I do wish Leona wasn’t such a pushover for everyone. In the end though she shows she has a spine. Even though I didn’t care much for her, I love the alpha that is Fabiano. It was good. Maybe I’ll get more of what I’m looking for in the other books in this series.

Me encantó. ENG :: This is the first book of the series and I just read it. I loved it! I don’t know why I waited so long (especially since I read all the rest of the books in the series) but it just happened. This book is about love and choices. Love towards a friend, a brother, a family, a group. Also, love to another being, romantically. And how this may seem weak but is the greatest risk to take. Fabiano and his bond with the Falcones is amazing, and Leona was part of his life because she was genuine, honest and authentic. They proved how love made them grow, and can illuminate others. The perfect story for the series.

Fabi is all grown up and kickstarting The Camorra Chronicles off with a BANG! If you are as obsessed with Cora's Bound By Series as I am, then you've met Fabiano already and will be in for quite a shock on how much he's grown. But if you are new the Mafia Romance Genre, you CANNOT go wrong with any Cora Reilly book. Although this book is a Spin-off of The Bound By series, it can be fully enjoyed without reading any of those books prior.

Parfait, en commençant la saga depuis le début avec Luca & Aria je n'aurais jamais pensé accrocher autant avec la mafia de Las Vegas.. mais je crois que c'est ma préférée. Ce livre est réussi, encore une fois il se mange en 2 jours

I think every Cora fan must have read this book but my review is lil late, Never the less the book has Fabi whom we saw growing from a child to an adult... The emotions, the rage in him growing and undeniable loyality for Remo (exception leona) but thats an exception we galdly accept and also this is the first book in her whole Cammora series where the mafia man goes after an outsider.... All in all u can have a joy ride through hell fire... these are Cora's words in other books

This book deserves more recognition and love, so here I am, ready to give it the love it deserves. After being beaten up and left to die by his own father, Fabiano gets saved by the future Capo of the Camorra. They fight side to side, and soon Fabiano becomes the Capo's right hand, his Enforcer, ruthless and deviant killer. Leona is the new girl on town. Just like Fabiano, she got neglected by her parents, who are both addicts. After living with only her mother, she goes to Vegas to live with her father for a while and find a job so she can save money for college. Leona is really strong. She's poor, she's alone and fighting for her own life by herself, but she would never give up her ideals and her beliefs. She is strong in what she wants and she never gives up hope. She's determinated, kind-hearted and fierce. Leona is my favorite heroine of all times, and I couldn't be more proud of the girl she becomes through the book. Fabiano is really protective and determinated as well. He's the character we got to know since he was a kid, and seeing his change because of the traumas and hard times he had to go through is heartbreaking. But finding the part of him we loved and missed so much it's really beautiful. He's also really loyal to the Camorra, but being with Leona could mean betraying the only things he thought it was worth living for. The fact that they were both suffering, and deep down were still hurt... And they healed each other.
